Risk of Vehicle Lane Change Behavior on Highway

摘要: 换道作为车辆的基本驾驶行为之一,对道路上车辆的运行安全有着至关重要的影响。针对高速公路上换道行为导致事故频发的现状,通过对换道车辆及其相邻车辆在换道过程中的运行特征及位置、速度关系进行分析,构建车辆安全换道模型。研究结果表明:通过对不同换道特征的换道行为进行MATLAB仿真,可确定车辆之间的不同速度、加速度情况及驾驶员反应时间下的动态安全距离,以此来确定换道安全和风险的动态临界阈值,为自动驾驶换道预警系统提供理论上的支撑。

Abstract: As one of the basic driving behaviors of vehicles, lane change has a vital impact on the road safety. Aiming at the current situation of frequent accidents caused by lane change behavior on highway, the characteristics of lane change vehicles and their adjacent vehicles in the process of lane-changing and the relationship between position and speed were analyzed to construct the safe lane change model. The research results show that through MATLAB simulation of lane changing behavior with different lane changing characteristics, the dynamic safety distance between vehicles with different speed, acceleration and driver reaction time can be determined, so that the dynamic critical threshold of lane change safety and risk is determined. The research provides theoretical support for the lane change early warning system of automatic driving.
