Self-organizing Control Method for Urban Traffic Signal Based on the Pass-Priority Rules

一种基于通行优先度规则的城市交通信号自组织控制方法

Abstract: Traditional traffic signal control methods lacked the flexibility on phase and phase sequence,and their traffic efficiency and control of real-time was poor.To solve these problems,a self-organizing control method for urban traffic signal based on the pass-priority rules was proposed.In the self-organizing control system for urban traffic signal,the average delay time,the average speed and the parking rate were taken as evaluation indices,and the pass-priority rules (including pass-priority,intersections relation and phase combination) were taken as fundamental basis of the real-time control on phase and phase sequence.Therefore,a microscopic city traffic model based on cellular automata (CA) was established,which efficiently realized the self-organizing control of traffic signal.The traffic control simulation of 16 intersections under the same condition shows that:comprising with traditional fixed-time control and inductive control methods,the self-organizing control method for urban traffic signal based on the pass- priority rules has higher traffic efficiency and better real-time control effect.The proposed method based on the pass-priority rules is a theoretical exploration to the self-organizing control for urban traffic signal,and it has a guidance meaning to the engineering of the new generation of intelligent traffic control equipment and system.

摘要: 为解决传统城市交通信号相位和相序控制缺乏灵活性,存在通行效率与控制实时性差的问题,提出了一种基于通行优先度规则的城市交通信号自组 织控制方法。此方法是在城市交通信号自组织控制的体系下,以平均延误时间、平均速度、停车率为评价,以通行优先度规则(通行优先度、交叉口关联 度、相位组合)为相位与相序实时控制的基本依据,建立基于元胞自动机的城市交通微观模型,高效地实现了交通信号自组织控制。相同条件下16个路口 的交通控制仿真表明,基于通行优先度规则的城市交通信号自组织控制方法,与传统的定时控制以及感应控制方法比较,显示出较高的通行效率与良好的 控制实时性。通行优先度规则控制方法是城市交通信号自组织控制的理论性探索,且对其新一代智能交通控制装备与系统的工程化具有指导性意义。
