Abstract: Taking the model of Hutubi River for example.the problems of verification of the serf-simulation movable bed model，such as the model san d，the model inlet controlling and the verification standard，were studied.By the verification of water level，the shifting range an d the Scour depth of the type section，the result of the model was consistent with that of the archetype fiver.The movable bed model design of Hutubi river is feasible.and can be the reference for the movable bed model design of the broad-shallow shifting reach in Sinkiang region.
