摘要: 提出一种基于Canny算子的车牌边缘检测技术,该技术优点是适用于不同场合并且它的参数允许调整以便于 识别不同的边缘特性,尤其适合车牌数字这样具有封闭特性的图像;其缺点是在实时图像处理时速度比较慢。

关键词: 车牌识别, 图像增强, Canny算子边缘检测, 均值滤波, 二值化

Abstract: Based on Canny operator,a method of plate edge detection was proposed.It was suitable for different occasions as its parameters can be adjusted to recognize different edge features,and particularly suitable for images with the feature of closed such as license plate numbers.However,the speed was slow in real-time image processing.
