摘要： 本文简要介绍了GPS系统的组成、工作原理及方法.引证了GPS技术在测量上引起的巨大变革.介绍了GPS技术在道路工程中的合理应用方式,并提出了GPS技术在道路工程中应用、开发的方向.

Abstract: The theory and applications of Global Positioning System (GPS) are reported briefly in this paper.GPS has caused great change in surveying field.The paper introduce the proper application method of GPS technology in highway engineering. It proposes what GPS should be explored and applied in highway field in future.
