Abstract: According to the micro-structure of cement based semi-rigid surface course composite (CBSCC), a three-layer built-in thermal stress model is established by putting a spherical coarse aggregate particle covered with rubberized asphalt and hollow spherical cement mortar matrix into equivalent CBSCC media. The calculation results show that, when cooling, coarse aggregate phase and rubberized asphalt phase are in compression, while tangential tensile stress in cement mortar matrix and normal tensile stress in equivalent CBSCC media are developed. The stress values in each phase of CBSCC are at most one-forth as large as those in corresponding phase of controlled cement concrete. When the fraction values of rubberized asphalt are tripled, the interface normal stresses are reduced by twenty percent to three hundred percent;when the elastic modulus of rubberized asphalt is increased by sixty-five hundred percent, the interface normal stresses are increased by tw o hundred percent to twelve hundred percent.
