Video-Based Influencing Factors Model of Overtaking Behavior on Urban Roads

Abstract:Taking the rate of overtaking vehicle times as the macro quantitative index of urban road overtaking behavior, and combining with MYSQL and VBA, the extraction of massive video overtaking data was completed. Then the stepwise regression models of influencing factors of overtaking rate on weekdays, nonworking days and in peak periods of weekdays were constructed respectively. The research results show that the travel time and speed have significant influence on overtaking behavior, but the number of vehicles in peak periods has no obvious influence on overtaking behavior. In addition, the influence of travel time and speed on overtaking behavior is greater on weekdays, while the influence of vehicle number on overtaking behavior is more obvious on nonworking days.
