Design and Emulation of Intelligent Traffic Light Control System

摘要: 使用AHDL语言,目标器件选用FPGA器件,采用自上向下的设计方法,设计智能交通灯控制系统。以单片 机C8051为控制核心,实现东西、南北的通行时间可调,倒计时显示通行时间,急车强行通过等功能。该系统具有 设计周期短、可靠性很高、维护较方便、使用简单等诸多优点。

Abstract: AHDL is used and FPGA device is chosen as target device in designing the intelligent traffic light control system, in which up to down designing method is applied. The control kernel of the system is C8051; it can realize lots of functions, such as adjusting the passing time in east-west and south-north direction, passing time countdown and emergency vehicle compelling passing. The system is advantageous to have short design period, high reliability, easy operation and maintenance, etc.
