Abstract: The expansion devices , which used to be adopted in traditional bridges , is one of the important factors influencing the comfort and the cost of the bridge .In middle (or small)bridges , it is possible that the newly-developed integral abutment bridge (or semi-integral abutment bridge)can solve the worldwide problem.Firstly , the research achievements on jointless bridge in the world are summed up briedefly in the paper .Secondly , the design , study and test of the jointless abutment bridges of China , Changsha Chennan Road are introduced pivotal.At last , some matters needing attention for the design and the practice for further research are provided

摘要: 整体式无缝桥梁为彻底解决中小桥梁伸缩装置问题提供了可能。本文首先简要综述了国外有关的信息,重 点介绍了一座整体式桥台桥—长沙市城南路高架桥的设计、研究、试验及使用情况,最后阐述了对可能出现的反 射裂缝的防治,以待进一步深入研究并推广应用
