Abstract: If the compound curve is appropriate for the road line and it can not be designed with general compound curve, because of the objective conditions, we may use design of special compound curve. #br#This paper has derived the "Jia-Lin" formula which describes the character of special compound curve and the law of development for it. This formula can be used in the design of general compound curve too. At the same time this paper provides a simple procedure which can be used in the road construction.
