Abstract: In this paper, recently constructed long-span cable stayed bridges are surveyed. The development of cable stayed bridges can be divided into three stages. At present most bridges are built according to the second and third stage of development. The third stage brought in the bridges with very closely spaced stay cables and slender deck. Some examples of competitive bidding for cable-stayed bridge are briefly described

摘要： 作者1984年9月参加国际桥梁与结构工程协会(IABSE)第12届大会(Vancouver,B.C.Canada),参观了当时正在施工的安娜雪丝岛桥和该桥的设计顾问公司(Buckland and Taylor)后,曾写了"世界斜拉桥的新进展"一文,刊载于重庆交通学院学报1985 №2。作者于1987年5月重访加拿大温哥华(Vancouver)市,又参观了邻近安娜雪丝岛桥的另一座斜拉桥——"ALRT"Rapid Transit桥(正在施工并预期在1989年完成),结合近几年来斜拉桥发展的新信息,写成此文,名为"再论"。文中简述世界上斜拉桥最新的发展趋势。
