    Research on Stress Intensity Factor of the Concrete Crack Based on FEM

    Through the FEM to research 3-D crack of a three point bent concrete beam,the viariation law of the stress intensi— ty factor K1 is got when it changes with the crack length and the load leve1.The correctness of the FEM is validated by compa ring with the existent formula.Finally,the simplified formula KI is generalized.

    Based on theory of structural stability,the solution procedure and principle of finite element method are introduced in brief under the analysis of structural stability.With the finite element analysis.the stability of the tower is studied by taking the cable—hoisting erection system of the Wujiang River Bridge in the Pengshui City as engineering background.Through multlvle solution by iterative method.the critical load factors and buckling mode shapes of the tower are obtained under the most disadvantageous construction work condition,providing theories foundation for the construction control of that bridge.

    The ultimate value of permanent lower deflection deformation was analyzed under the control section of diferent span spandrel—braced arch bridges by the structure calculation software Midas/Civil,and the permanent deformation allow— anCe calculation formula of lower deflection to spandrel-braced arch bridges of 25 m to 65 m span length was gained based on this foundation,which would facilitate basic engineers to assess bridge safety rate efectively and convenientely.

    By computing the twisting moment of one cap beam by traditional and finite element method respectively , the diferences between the two methods are got.A conclusion is drawn that the traditional method is to conservative to determine the twisting moment of cap beams.while the finite element method is relatively reasonab1e.

    From the support forms,the simply supported—continuous bridges have mostly two main structural forms:single prop and dual prop.To better exert the traits of the simply supported—continuous bridge and understand the mechanics of this bridge in diferent support forms,a mechanical analysis is made through the support sedimentation, temperature change and deviation of dual prop.Through the analysis.the relevant conclusions are educed and a consult to the correlative personnel for servicing the projects is siven.

    It is a serious situation that broken curbs result in bad pavement through investigations.Finite element program MSC.NASTRAN software package was employed to analyze the structural responses of curbs on low volume rural roads in different conditions.Several methods are proposed to decrease pavement damage caused by curbs,to provide the reference for curb design and construction.
