Two-Stage Design Method for the Evotherm Warm-Mix Asphalt Mixtures

Evotherm 温拌沥青混合料两阶段设计方法应用研究

Abstract: By analyzing the principle of Evotherm warm-mix technology and the current situation of design method for warmmix asphalt mixtures,it is the first time to propose the two-stage design method. Based on two-parameter system including asphalt content and test temperature,the components of Evotherm warm-mix asphalt mixtures are optimized,considering the design data of hot-mix asphalt mixtures. The control temperature is determined according that the volume parameters of specimen are basically equal. Based on the two-stage design method,GTM molding method is used to design Evotherm warmmix SBS-modified-asphalt mixtures. The test results show that the pavement performance of Evotherm warm-mix modified-as-phalt mixtures are superior to that of hot-mix mixtures,and the two-stage design method can make the materials design for Evotherm warm-mix asphalt mixtures combine with corresponding hot-mix mixtures,which can effectively avoid the risk of current design method,and provide universal significance for other warm-mix technologies

摘要: 分析 Evotherm 温拌技术工作原理及其混合料设计现状,提出了两阶段设计法; 基于沥青用量及试验温度双参数体系,在热拌混合料设计基础上对 Evotherm 温拌混合料进行材料组成设计,并以成型试件体积参数基本相等来确定施工控制温度; 采用该方法在 GTM 方式下对 Evotherm 温拌 SBS 改性沥青混合料进行应用研究。试验表明: 所设计的 Evotherm 温拌改性沥青混合料的路用性能整体上优于同类型热拌混合料,而且,该方法将温拌混合料材料设计与热拌混合料相结合,能够有效避免现行设计方法存在的风险,对其他温拌技术具有普适意义。
