Abstract: The vacuum mounding preloading method to improve soft ground is a new technique to soft ground improvement.This method is developed from vacuum preloading and mounding preloading.A practical calculation method to predict the settlement in the period of the vacuum mounding preloading has been put forward in this paper to calculate the settlement of the expressway embankment.This calculation method is a amended method of earth preloading method is a amended method of earth preloacling method
