Abstract

Abstract: Shoulder rumble strips is a new type safety-precautions to alert inatentive or fatigued drivers．Noise and vibration produced by shoulder rumble strips are effective alarms for those who are leaving the roadway．This paper introduces detailedly some information on state-of-the-practice for the design and application of shoulder rumble strips in USA．
