Abstract: According to the equal arm balance suspension between three and four axle of a heavy van truck, an efficient and flexible method was presented, which was based on the idea of discrete beam method and used in a combined method of Leaf Spring of ADAMS/Chassis and ADAMS/View. Based on ADAMS/View, the equal arm balance suspension dynamic model, the front suspension dynamic model and the vehicle dynamic model were established, then vehicle ride comfort random road input running test was carried out. The results of calculation agreed with the results of experiment. It proves the feasibility of the modeling method of the equal arm balance suspension and the effectiveness of the vehicle dynamics model. It provides helpful reference for the dynamic model of multi-axle heavy truck and the simulations of vehicle ride comfort.
