Abstract: Conventional methods of energy dissipation by single-fall hydraulic jump-type stilling basin, roller bucket, or ski-jumpbucket may not be suitable for high dam spillways be-cause of very high velocity at the end of the spillways, niadc-quatc tailwater depthw, or Side Coditions. A suitable spillway alternative can be a cascade of falls with a still-ingbasin below each fall. This paper presents a computing method for the design of cascade stilling basins for high dam spillways. The design is demenstrated by a numcrical example.

摘要: 本文改进了多级跌水阶梯式消力池设计所需用到的有关方程,介绍了自由水跃高度曲线,消力池池深,跌水个数,凸槛高度等水力要素的简化计算方法与步骤,并给出了典型工程的算例。
