Optimization Design of Urban Tunnel Lighting

城市隧道照明优化设计研究

Abstract: The semi-enclosed spatial structure of the urban tunnel determines that it can only be illuminated by the lighting system. The difference in brightness between the inside and outside of the urban tunnel will cause the driver to have a “black and white hole effect” when entering and leaving the tunnel, which affects the drivers acquisition and processing of visual information, and has certain accident risk. Taking the Nanjing Yangtze River Tunnel and the Yangtze River Tunnel as examples, the effects of lighting in two tunnels on the drivers gaze, glance, and blinking and other visual characteristics were compared and analyzed by the visual characteristics test of the driver driving in the tunnel. The research results show that the change of brightness intensity will affect the drivers gaze distribution, saccade amplitude and speed, blink frequency and duration. Finally, optimization suggestions were proposed from two aspects of brightness design and lighting layout.

摘要: 城市隧道半封闭的空间结构决定了其只能靠照明系统提供光亮。城市隧道内外亮度的差异会使驾驶人在进出隧道时产生“黑白洞效应”,影响驾驶人对视觉信息的获取与处理,具有一定的事故风险。以南京长江隧道与扬子江隧道为例,通过驾驶人在隧道内行驶时的视觉特性实验,对比分析两条隧道照明对驾驶人注视、扫视、眨眼等视觉特性的影响。研究结果表明:光亮强度的变化会影响驾驶人注视点分布、扫视幅度与速度、眨眼频率与持续时间。最后,从亮度设计、照明灯具布设两个方面提出优化建议。
