Impact of En-route Traffic Information on Travel Route Choice

在途交通信息对出行者路径选择的影响研究

Abstract: Traffic information guidance, which is an important aspect of ITS research, is an effective measure to balance the traffic flow in the network and ease the traffic congestion. The effect of traffic information guidance on traffic performance of road network was investigated, such as queue length, delay, and vehicle kilometers; and storage-and-forwarding computation model was proposed. A case study of Amsterdam road network in Holland was conducted to analyze the impact of providing instant traffic information and predicted traffic information on the travel route choice in the condition of traffic incident and no traffic incident; meanwhile, the travelers compliance degree to the traffic information was also considered. Results show that among all cases travelers benefit most by providing them with the predicted information in the case of traffic incident.

摘要: 交通信息诱导是ITS研究的重要内容,是均衡路网交通流量,缓解交通拥堵的重要措施之一。通过研究交通信息诱导(VMS)对路网交通性能的影响,如:排队长度、延误以及车辆公里数等,并提出了存储-转发计算模型。以荷兰阿姆斯特丹路网为例,分析在发生交通事件和无交通事件情况下,提供即时交通信息和预测交通信息对出行者路径选择行为的影响,同时也考虑出行者对交通信息的顺从程度。该案例分析得出,在事件情况下提供预测信息能使出行者获得的收益最大。
