Abstract: Considering the lacking and backwardness of theoretical research in comprehensive transportationat present,this paper has diseussed some of the vital problems in comprehensive transportation theorythat include the relationship between transportation and economic development,theory of transportstructure evolution and rational division of labor among five modern modes of transportation. The au-thors have thoroughly explained their position on those issues discussed above by means of intreducingtheories abroad that are related to the relationship between transportation or infrastructure and econom-ic development or growth in developing countriea.

摘要： 针对我国日前综合运输理论研究相对薄弱和落后的现状,本文对综合运输的重大理论问题──交通运输与经济发展的关系、运输结构演变及各种运输方式的合理分工─进行了较为深人的论述。重点介绍了国外发展经济学家有关运输或基础设施与经济发展关系的有关理论,提出了作者自己的观点。
