    Some Problems in Theoretical Study on Comprehensive Transportation

    Considering the lacking and backwardness of theoretical research in comprehensive transportationat present,this paper has diseussed some of the vital problems in comprehensive transportation theorythat include the relationship between transportation and economic development,theory of transportstructure evolution and rational division of labor among five modern modes of transportation. The au-thors have thoroughly explained their position on those issues discussed above by means of intreducingtheories abroad that are related to the relationship between transportation or infrastructure and econom-ic development or growth in developing countriea.

    Features of Turbidity Maximum in Yangtze river Estuary

    The occurrence of a turbidity maximum is a most common phenomenon in the brackish water re-gions of tidally influenced river.Based on analysis of meaured data,the dynamics of the turbidity max-imum in Yangtze River eatuary is investigated,The evolution patterns of the turbidity maximun duringatidal cycle is shown and analvsed.The time histories of sediment concentrations and current velocityare discussed for characteristic locations within the turbidity maximum。The results derived from timeseries show that the deposition and resuspension of sediment is the dominant Drocess in the turbiditymaximum and that the advection of particals is the dominant process,at marginal zones during well-de-fined times of the cycle,The analyses also show that the suspended sediment settles significantly in themiddle and lower reach during the low water slack and in the uppor and middle reach during high waterslack.Rapid settling of suspended sediment is asseeiated with the water body at salinities ranged from 5‰ to 1 5‰. This reflects that the effect of salt flocculation may be significant around slack water.

    Based on results of test, this paper introduces a new method of microstructural analysis of cementpote using SEM and phases analysis system, with certain improvements in making specimens, instru-ment calibration and mierocrack survey. So better results can be obtained according to the new method.

    Based on the theory and method of three order B-spline modeling,the horirontal alignment oframp can be outlined in the contour map and its length and azimuthes of ternminal points can also beobtained。Then its curvature figure can be layouted by calculating curvaturee and radii of discretepoints along horizontal alignment.After the curvature flgure is medeled on the screen by using themouse,the horizontal design elements of ramp can be obtained。At last,the horizontal alignment oframp can be designed and layouted quick ly based on the unit“Ls+Ly”。

    Develupmeet of powerful laser devices provides a better basis for surface treatment of automotive parts than ever,Automotive pistun pins and valve tappets made of steel 45# are hardened by laser with chcoen technological parameters,then mierostructure,hardness distribution; wear reeistance,defor-mation and service life are analysed and evaluated.The reeults show that piston pins and valve tappets hardened by laser proceesing have the advantage of good hardening quality,less deformation and low reject,and their service life is four times loriger than those hardened by routine method.
