Abstract: The subject of this study is mainly to investigate the effect of improving the property of common asphaltic mixture when an appropriate amount of waste rubber powders are added on resisting low temperature cracking with the split cylinder test, the little beam bending test, the bhringkage test and unconfined compressive stress test of laboratory-compacted specimens. The results obtained from a series of tests show that the addition of 3-5% (by weight of mixtures) waste rubber powders to bituminous concrete reduces the resilient modulus and increases the deformation at low-temperature upto four times respectively,and the glass translating temperatures are droped down ten more degree centigrade than the asphalt concrete without any waste rubber powders. It goes without saying that the ability to resist low-temperature cracking of asphalt concrete has been greatly strengthened. Therefore, it's propounded that the materials above mentioned may be suitable for use of building the high-type road in the cold northern sector of our cou ntry.
摘要: 本研究主要应用劈裂试验,小梁弯曲试验,收缩试验和无侧限抗压试验考察了在普通沥青混合料中掺适量废胶粉后对低温抗裂性能的改善效果。试验结果表明:掺3-5%(混合料的重量计)的废胶粉,可以降低沥青混凝土的低温弹性模最和增大其变形均达1-3倍,玻璃化转变温度也比普通沥青乱凝土的低10℃以上。不言而喻,沥青混凝土的低温抗裂能力大大提高了。因此,这种材料可以适用于在北方寒冷地区修筑道路路面。
