    Nonlinear Torsion Analysis of Composite Thin Walled Bar

    Taking the effects of geometrical nonlinearity into account,a general theory of composite thin walled bar is established under the combinational deformation of tension,compression and torsion.Focusing on the nonlinear torsion ana1ysis of composite thin walled bar,based on the principle of minimum potential energy,the governing equations of equilibrium as well as all boundary conditions concerned are deduced from the equivalent constitutive equations and general potential energy function.In addition,a solution to the equations of equilibrium is discussed.

    The creep-shrinkage effect of CFST is different from that of reinforced concrete because of its containment,stiff consistency and not casting water during curing period as well as its unloading.The stress recontribution of CFST is significant and must not be ignored.In order to calculate the redistributed stress effectively,according to the elastic creep theory and the principle of superposition,one general formula of analytical model for CFST creep function has been suggested based on the theory analysis on the creep-shrinkage effect of axis compression component[1].One creep model and one compensation model were made.The strain tests results met the theory analysis,and proved the formula.

    Haikou Bridge is a concrete-filled steel tubular arch bridge with a main span of 150m.Taking that bridge as an example, based on the software ANSYS,two kinds of spatial finite element models for the bridge were respectively established, under the consideration of the pier bases concretion and the interaction between the soil and the pile.Calculation analyses results of natural vibration of the two models are comparatively analyzed.The establishment method of the two models of the half-through concrete—filled steel tubular arch bridge is provided,which can be reference for relative research.

    Cosine functions are supposed to simulate the longitudinal displacement of thin·walled box beams when bended. The differential equations of Trapezia thin-walled box beams with constant section are derived on the basis of generalized variational principle,and the solutions of simply supported box girders subjected to vertical concentrated load and vertical uniform pressure load are obtained .The example shows that this method matches cubic·parabola—function method.

    Theoretic and Experimental Research on Loading Characteristics of Cantilever Beam in Composite Structure

    Hongshan Bridge which locates in Changsha City,is a harp style cable-stayed bridge with inclined pylon and without any back-stays.The main span is 206 m long.The main girder is a spine girder,and the bilateral girders are of 13-meter-long steel-concrete composite cantilever stucture,with the longitudinal space of 4 m.The theories of loading distribution along crosswise were analyzed by adopting the modified articulated beam,The calculating formulas were deduced,and a model test was performed to prove the correction of these formulas.Finally,adding ballast weight of 320 kN on the edge of cantilever beam was adviced to solve the crack problem of negative moment zone.The crack width of concrete deck Was analyzed by taking creep and shrinkage of concrete into account and comparing kinds of various specification.The above-mentioned results provide strong basis for the design of bridge deck.

    Focusing on the sensitivity of wind load action on cable·stayed bridge,investigated the mechanism and analytical method of wind-excited flutter.On the basis of that,taking the Pengxi river cable-stayed bridge with long span as an example,a proper dynamic calculation model Was established by using the professional software of MIDAS and with geometric nonlinear consideration.According to the dynamic behavior at both construction and completion stage,the wind-resistant behavior of the bridge was evaluated.These results provide reference for the design of wind-resistant and the analysis of dynamic stability.

    If the stability of cable-stayed bridges are analyzed by means of a numerical procedure,it is difficult to analyze all the factors synthetically,the calculational method is complicated and workload is great.Based on the fuzzy theory,the research on stability of cable-stayed bridges are carried out by the multi-grade fuzzy synthetic judge.Considering factors about stability,the evaluation matrixes of single factor are established,then,the proportions of all kinds of factors are determined by comprehensive application to AHP and the experts evaluating method。the procedure of evaluation is quantitated preferably.At last,the result of evaluation for the cable-stayed bridges stability is drawn through the model of the multi-grade fuzzy synthesis judge.Consequently,whether the stability of cable-stayed bridges is satisfying is known .

    Aiming at the problem that pre-cast beam generated cracks in course of laying aside it,the mechanics knowledge Was utilized to deduce the formula,and the tensile stress under different descending value of temperature Was calculated according to the engineering,and the finite element software ANSYS Was used to verify the formula.The conclusion Was put forward that if the bearings of pre-cast beam were incorrectly installed when it Was laid aside,and the sudden descending of temperature may result in cracks ,then the corresponding avoidance measure was suggested .

    Based on the cracking investigation,some inclined cracks in webs apprearing in the continuous prestressed concrete box girder bridge in service phase are analyzed.Main factors inducing cracks are considered.such as temperature gradient,vehicular load,principal tensile stress of concrete,fatigue under temperature load and vehicular load.Proper temperature gradient should be selected in design phase to avoid crack.Some anti-rust coatings Can be daubed on the surface of the steel strands to protect them from corrosion by cavity seepage.Webs of box girder from one quarter to three quarters of each span may be poured with steel fiber reinforced concrete to avoid fatigue effect.

    The problem of the defection upwards of PC bridge appears frequently,and it is disadvantageous to the driving comfort.Based on the 1/4 models of motorcar.the mode1 of simple supported beam was used with constant moving load to simulate bridge vibration and the half sine curve was used to simulate the bridge floor longitudinal curve when bridge upwards formed.Two response equations of motorcar vibration are established,which are caused by bridge vibration as well as deflection upwards.Further more.these two influences on motorcar vibration arc analysed and compared in detail.A conclusion that the influence of bridge vibration to the motorcar vibration iS trivial compared with that of deflection is drawn.

    Research on Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement Mixtures Based on Superpave

    Recycling of reclaimed asphalt pavement(RAP),as a kind of new material technique methods,is being used broadly in hot mixture asphalt(HMA)to save money and protect the environment.However,the use discipline of these materials is not clear in the Superpave mix design system.It is necessary to un derstand whether the RAP can be used in Superpave mix design procedure.The test results show that the recycling of RAP is reasonable and feasible in Superpave system.The use of RAP can significantly decrease the content of new asphalt and increase the indirect tensile strength of the mixture in the Superpave mix design.At the same time,the additional RAP also play a key role in enhancing the rutting resistance,increasing the indirect resilient modulus and improving the stiffness of these mixtures.

    Effects of Confining Pressure on Dynamic Modulus

    The effects of confining pressure on mechanical properties of asphalt mixtures are important since the asphalt mixtures in pavement structure behave in a three dimensional stress state.Triaxial dynamic modulus tests were conducted at various temperatures,confi ning pressure levels and frequencies for a Superpave20 mixture with a modified binder and a Superpave25 mixture with a neat binder.The results were analyzed to study the effects of confining pressure on dynamic modulus at various conditions.The analysis results show that the effects of confining pressure on dynamic modulus become more evident as temperature increases and loading frequency decreases.At 55℃ the dynamic moduli obtained at a confining pressure of 250 kPa could be 4.7 and 18 times as high as the values obtained without confining pressure for Superpave 20 and Superpave25,respectively.This study shows that it is important to take the effects of confining pressure into account in pavement structure analysis.

    By site and laboratory tests,regularity of temperature variation and the relationship between temperature and density(air void)were analyzed.The results indicate that temperature segregation usually occurs during the construction,and temperature segregation can cause isolated areas of low density and large air void which may result in reduced fatigue life and moisture damage;the infrared thermograph and penetration thermometer can map the thermal characteristics of the entire mat surface,and the technology call be used during construction,which would enable the contractor to remedy problems immediately once they occur.

    Mixing the polyester fibers,polyacrylonitrile fibers and methyl cellulose respectively into three different gradation types asphalt mixtures:AC,SMA and OGFC,the fiber-reinforced asphalt mixtures were formed.Based on the performances tests of the fiber-reinforced asphalt mixtures,such as Marshall stability,high temperature rutting,low temperature crack resistance,water stability,skid resistance etc。the strength-mechanism of the fiber-reinforced asphalt mixtures was analysed .Contrasting with the testing data of common asphalt mixtures,all the three kinds of fiber-reinforced asphalt mixtures performances have improved,and the improvement of polyester and polyacrylonitrile fibers is greater than that of methyl cellulose.In accordance with rutting test data,the optimal designed content of fiber is presented in different traffic.Due to marked economic benefit brought by the fiber-reinforced asphalt mixtures-increasing road life and reducing maintenance costs,it would be applied comprehensively and developed quickly.

    By calculating the Hurst Index of the short time traffic flow in variant time scales for freeway,a fractal dimension was put forward.It showed that the interval time of traffic flow was shorter,the fractal dimension was bigger,and the structure was more complex.So it is m0re difficult to forecast.We present a new forecasting method—moving average nearest neighborhood forecasting method,which is based on the phase space reconstruction and combining with the moving average forecasting and the nearest neighborhood method.The efficiency of the method Was proved by theory and actual traffic flow.

    If the upper rock is considered homogeneity,the vibration signals tested on equal-offset spots is theoretically same in ground wave test.When the wave reflected by the joint reaches one spot firstly,the vibration signal on this spot will depart from others.So we can judge the initial arriving moment for reflected wave through signal comparison.This method was used to signals tested in one experiment indoors,and the initial arriving moment was close to the theoretic value.

    As two big cities in the southwest of our country,Chongqing and Chengdu connect with each other tightly in economy.For long,the passenger transportation between the two cities has been shared by highway,railway and aviation,and the competition among them is very furious.The operation of Suining-Chongqing High Speed Railway makes the competition more serious,and the advantages of“safety,comfort,economy”of railway have brought great pressure to expressway and ariation.The history of the passenger transportation competition among the three transportation modes is reviewed,an d the future competitive situation of these modes between the two cities is analyzed,and the strategic transfer of highway passenger transportation under the competitive condition is studied using SWOT analysis,and 6 corresponding defensive competitive strategies ale put forward.
