Least Square Boundary Method For Sandwich PLates
    Wang Lei
    1984, 3(4): 1-6.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (337KB) ( )
This paper adopts Hu Hai-Chan's[l] differential equations for isotropic thick plate (sandwich plate) and corresponding boundary conditions. The unknown constants are determined by means of least square boundary method. The domain method for Galerkin is adopted to satisfy the differential equations. Computed results show high accuracy and practical simplicity.

    Cheng Xiangyun, Tang Kaugen
    1984, 3(4): 28-33.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (390KB) ( )
In this paper the shear lag effect in the flange of Tee-beams is calculated by the bar simulation method, and an indistinct concept which preexists in the calculation of the moment of inertia of cross sections according to the effective width of flange is clarified, thus, the direet stress values in flauge obtained by the current simplified compution agree well with these practical maximum.

    1984, 3(4): 34-47.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (696KB) ( )
In this paper, shear lag effect in cantilever box girder is studied by various approaches assuming spanwise displacement as quartic parabola. Fur thermore the finite difference method is adopted in solving negative shear effect on cantilever box girder with linear varying depth. Theoretical results are also compared with perspex model test. Finally, several preliminary Conclusions are drawn regarding further study and research.

A Generalized Model of Ocean Atmospheric Pressure Field and Wind Field in the Calculation of Typhoon Wave
    Guan Mengru
    1984, 3(4): 48-55.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (466KB) ( )
The typhoon atmospheric pressure models used rather widely in the calculation of typhoon wave at home and alroad are those of Meyers and Fujita at present.Obviously, these models cannot characterize the atmospheric fields of different ocean typhoon atmospheric structures as they can only reflect ideal ocean typhoon atmospheric pressure field distribution with symmetric circles which leads to the corresponding ocean typhoon field distribution. Consequently, with the further deepening studies on typhoon wave, drifting currents and storm Surge theories, it is a most interested topic in the fields of ocean development, ocean transportation, fisheries and military activities to find a kind of mathematical models which can characterize objectively the changes of ocean typhoon atmospheric pressure fields and wind fields. This paper deals with firstly the derivation of the mathematical models suitable for slowly moving typhoon ocean atmospheric fields and winds based on the Rankine composite vortex model; secondly the derivation of the optimized mathematical models of normally moving typhoon ocean atmospheric pressure fields based on the application of optimization and periodic sample function and thirdly on the basis of the evaluating of various mathematical models, the derivation of a generalized mathematical model suitable for ocean atmospheric pressure fields and wind fields with any given typhoon structure by the aid or correction nad spreading of the hyphotheses of Rankine and Matano. All the mathematical models presented in this paper can be concretized by computer calculation based on the historical typhoon data which will be introduced in another paper.

THE SEDIMENT SOURCE AND RIVER GEOMORPHOLOGIC PROCESSES OF THE JIALIN RIVER
    Gu Hengyue
    1984, 3(4): 75-83.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (773KB) ( )
The Jialin River basin has a catchment area of 158,000 km2, long-term average of annual runoff is 65.1 billoin m3,and it is the largest tributary of the upper reaches of theYangtze River.Owing to the stratum broke, and the rock weatherirg has been strong, and so the soil erosion has been severe in this watershed. In addition, there are population explosion and destroying deforestation. Such expansion, in return, aggravates the losses of soil and water flow the catchment area, thus forming a vicious circle. Though irrigation projects for controlling the floods and to silt up sediment,by tens of thousands, have been completed throughout the watershed, but long-term average of the erosion modulus achieved to 1100 T/km. So the Jialin river has become the highest sediment concentration tributary of the Yangtze River system. It is near to Futuo River which is a tributary of the Yellow River system, with the greatest sediment discharge among the rivers in the world. The average of annual runoff of the Jialin River is only 10% of that of the Yongtze River, but the average of annual sediment about 1.92×108T is 45% of that of the Yangtze River, so far as the sediment concentration is concerned,it ranks the sixth among the major rivers in the world. sediment concentration among the major rivers in the world.Arguing from the river system point of view, this paper analyses the causality between the ecological equivalence of the watershed and the hydrologic properties of the river with the sedimentary source and its regional composition of the Jialin River. According to some typical reaches cases of fluvial processes of the Jialin River, this paper discusses the actions and effects of the flow with hyperconcentration of sediment for the geomorphologic process in this river.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (473KB) ( )
This paper puts forward a new solution for non-pressure seepage calculation we obtain the following monotone continuous function.f(h0)=h2-h1+h0ln(h2-h0)/(h1-h0)-il,(i>0)(1)
f(h'0)=h1-h2+h'0ln(h2+h'0)/(h1+h'0))-i'l.(i<0)(2)Furthermore, basing on the function exp.(1) or using the dichotomy we obtain ho or ho'. We present the results of the general program of TI59/58C pocket calculator and calculate three con crete examples.
