A Generalization of Bihari's Inequality and Its Applications to Stability of the Solution of Systems of Neutral Differential Equations
    Xu Anshi
    1986, 5(1): 29-39.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (593KB) ( )
In references[1,2,3], the important integral inequality due to Bihari was gineralized to the case of having finite terms of nonlinear integral functionals. We further generalized and corrected some results in [1,2,3] in this paper. Then, we applied the results obtained to the study of stability of solutions of certain systems of nonlinear neutral differential equations with variable time lag. We obtained another set of sudficient conditions on stability and asymptotic stability of zero solution and generalized the results in [5].

Effect of Shear Deformation on Flexible Wall of Underground Structures
    Fan Wentian, Luo Wuliang
    1986, 5(1): 49-57.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (528KB) ( )
The edifferential quation governing flexure rotation of a flexible wall of undergound structures under Winkler hypothesis which includes the effect of transverse shear deformation is derived in this paper. Solutions of basic equations including bending moment, shearing force, lateral deflection and rotation of the wall axis are given. The modifications (from the solution appropriate to the classical treatment) are found to be dependent upon both the elastic properties of the wall material and rock and the dimensions of the wall cross section. It is apparent that except the displacement and rotation in the top of the wall, there is no appreciable error in the classical prediction without considering of effect of transverse shear deformation in engineering practice.

An Analysis on the Aseismatic Behaviour of Single Span R. C. Truss Arch Bridge
    Yi Jianguo, Chen Zhongyan
    1986, 5(1): 58-71.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1833KB) ( )
Under the presupposition of stable abutment, this paper deals with trussed-arch bridge in which dynamic properties, coupling of vibration types, support conditions as well as vertical component in the analysis of seismic response are fully discussed. Comparisons are also made between static and dynamic analysis in order to study the vibration resistance of single span reinforced concrete trussed arch bridge. Finally, attention should be paid to the problems closely related to this category of arch bridge in earthquake design.

    Chen Xiangyun
    1986, 5(1): 87-93.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (431KB) ( )
Based on National Load Standard and using formulae of elastic theory, this paper analyzed the effective widthes of load distribution for plate girder bridge. On the one hand, it proved the reasonable of provisions in new highway bridge norm; on the other hand, it gave out some additional explatations for longitudinal variation of effective widthes.

    1986, 5(1): 104-110.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (465KB) ( )
There are some problems in the general method of digital spectrum analysis. In this paper, the principle and the measure of estimation of sea wave power spectrum by maximum entropy method are discussed in detail and the characteristics of MEM are shown. The example is calculated on computer DPS 8/49 and a new spectrum analytical technique for the time series data of sea wave is proposed.

Transverse Load Distribution in Curved Bridge
    Liang Xiangzhen, Du Guohua
    1986, 5(1): 111-126.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (748KB) ( )
In this paper, a method for calculating the load distribution of in-plane curved bridge with rigid cross section is derived from the principle of minimum potential energy. Its essentials are as follows: 1. The deflection and twist for in-plane curved bridge under a unit of concentrated load can be given through application of Rayleigh-Ritz method. 2. By the aid of the compatible conditions of deformation, the load distribution of in-plane curved bridge can be easily determined.
