Analysis for Decreasing the Rolling Resistance of Off-Road Vehicles Shen Shiqi 1986, 5(2): 5-10.  Abstract ( )   PDF (358KB) ( )   The rolling resistance of a pneumatic tire primarily depends on the deformation of the circumference between the tire and ground. There are three elements effecting the circumference: Pi, the inflation pressure of the tire; PC, the pressure due to carcass stiffness and the specific pressure q that deformable ground can support. Based on all these situations of the circumference, this paper discusses the parameters which influences the rolling resistance and points out the methods for decreasing the rolling resistance in detail. Cross Section Design of Partially Prestressed Concrete (PPC) Highway Bridges Fan Shicheng 1986, 5(2): 104-113.  Abstract ( )   PDF (710KB) ( )   Based on the background of foreign design codes, this paper gave a brief introduction to the design of PPC structural members in the "Code of Design for Reinforced and Prestressed Concrete Highway Bridges" and at the same time, compared these codes with the foreign ones. A brief analysis and discussion on classification of prestresed concrete, on calculation of flexular strength of PPC members and on crack control was carried out.
