Based on Burgers model,a four elements non linear rheological model (FENR) is developed. Its creep analytic solution shows that it can express the whole process of creep and creep rupture of asphalt concrete. In addition, the creep coincides with test results.Especially,FENR model supplies asphalt concrete with a creep rupture criterion σmax.Taken Hills and Brien's assumption of pavement, the prediction equation for pavement cracking temperature is developed by using FENR model and discretization of temperature induced stresses. The computer program has been compiled, which can predict pavement cracking temperature under arbitrary monotonic cooling function. Thus, the problem existed in Hills and Brien's method is initially solved. The method and computer program are of practical value.
