Road Performance of Light-Colored Pavement Materials

明色化铺装材料的路用性能研究

Abstract: Two kinds of light-colored materials, light-colored stones and toughened glass cullet, were used and synthesized to design 10 kinds of light-colored paving materials. Their road performance and lighting performance of the tunnel were studied and analyzed. The results show that the road performance of pavement material with light-colored stones is equivalent to that of AC-13 bituminous mixture. The road performance of the light-colored paving material with glass decreases with the increase of the dosage, and the road performance decreases significantly when the dosage is 15%~20%. Through grey correlation analysis, it is found that the main reason that affects the pavement performance of glass light-colored pavement material is that the addition of glass makes the asphalt film on the aggregate surface thinner, and the glass material has smooth surface and poor adhesion with asphalt. In addition, through the lighting test of the self-made tunnel model, it is found that compared with the ordinary AC-13, the light-colored pavement material can significantly improve the average luminance of the road surface.

摘要: 采用浅色石料和废钢化碎玻璃2种明色材料,组成设计了10种明色化铺装材料,对其应用于隧道的路用性能和照明性能进行研究分析。结果表明:浅色石料明色化铺装材料的路用性能与AC-13沥青混合料相当;玻璃明色化铺装材料的路用性能随掺入量的增加而减小,其中15%~20%掺量时的路用性能下降显著;通过灰色关联分析发现,影响玻璃明色化铺装材料路用性能的主要原因是玻璃的加入使得集料表面沥青膜变薄,同时玻璃材料表面光滑、与沥青黏附性较差;此外通过自制的隧道模型进行照明试验,发现与普通AC-13相比,明色化铺装材料能显著提升路面平均亮度。
