Abstract: The present paper provides an approximate method for predicting steep wave forces on large vertical cylinders in any water depth. The method is based on Rienecker and Fenton's numerical wave theory and linear diffraction theory of MacCamy and Fuchs. A program has been made according to the method, the predicted wave forces on surface piercing cylinders are compared with the site-measured and experimental results. It is found that the predictions agree closely with the measured forces in most cases.
摘要: 本文根据Rienecker和Fenton的数值计算波理论及MacCamy和Fuchs的线性绕射理论,提出了一种计算作用在任意水深处的直立柱体陡波波浪力的计算方法。根据该法编制的计算程序计算了几种伸出水面的直立柱体的波浪力,计算结果与观场观测和实验室的试验成果进行了比较,比较表明,计算波力与实测成果大都符合得很好。
