Abstract: Some problems will arise if asphalt pavement has been used for several years .The solutions can be considered from structure, material and construction technology .This paper first analyses material choice and appropriate thickness of surface, base, and subbase of asphalt pavement of expressway .Secondly this paper campares and appraises function evaluation structural constitutes of asphalt concrete pavement and its usability by investigating a lot of information of existing expressway asphalt pavement and analyzing their constitutes and function .Furthermore, some suggestions are provided for asphalt pavement design of expressway
