Engineering Application Effect of FRP Sidewalk Railing in the Bridge

FRP桥梁人行道栏杆工程应用效果研究

Abstract: The novel study results of engineering application effect for a new type of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) sidewalk railings in the bridge were introduced, which was based on the structure form design, structure stressing calculation, structure model experiment and engineering application test of the real railing in the bridge. The structure form of this new type of FRP railing was a fenced one made of FRP pultrusion standard components within a tenon riveting joint process. The proposed railing had advantageous structure effect, such as simple structure form, the reduced self-weight, the improved security in the case of overloading, as well as the free and unmarked deformation under temperature variation. It had advantageous function effect of beautiful appearance, excellent corrosion resistance and cleaning performance. It also had advantageous construction effect of highly industrialized process and strong controllability of quality and duration; meanwhile, it had advantageous economic effect of reasonable engineering cost and economized maintenance and conservation cost in the service time. This new type of railing is of both significant technological and economic advantages, especially for those bridges in corrosive medium environment and with difficulties or higher costs in the post maintenance and conservation.

摘要: 结合实桥栏杆结构形式设计、结构受力计算、结构模型试验和工程应用检验,介绍新型纤维增强复合材料(FRP)桥梁人行道栏杆工程应用效果的全新研究结果。这种新型栏杆的结构形式为FRP拉挤型材标准构件采用榫铆连接工艺制成的FRP栅栏型栏杆,具有结构形式简单、结构自重较轻、超载安全性较好、温变伸缩自由且不露痕迹、结构造型美观、耐蚀性和保洁性优、工业化施工程度高、质量和工期可控性强、工程造价合理、使用期维修养护节省等优点。对于腐蚀介质环境桥梁及后期维修养护较难或成本较高的桥梁,这种新型栏杆具有明显的技术、经济优势。
