    Discussion on the Design Formulae for Supporting Steel Frame

    The comparison between the results of second-order inelastic analysis of steel frame and the design formulae of steel frame in the current specifications in China and in America is made in this report. It indicates that these design formulae are safe and the conservativeness comes from not considering the plasticity redistribution of internal forces in the structures.

    Yager (1930) was the first to consider the mathematical definition of fuzziness. His definition is not achieved for a general lattice. A "good" definition is required. In this paper, the fuzziness is newly defined on the poset. We also introduce some related concepts such as measure of fuzziness, fuzziness of fuzzy set, and measure of fuzziness of fuzzy set, and investigate their properties in detail.

    This paper has the background of composite materials. It approaches the theory of the equivalence coefficients of thermal expansion in multiphase solids, proposes using three parameters to describe the effect of the conjunction states between phases in the coefficients and emphasizes the difference of the coefficients in stress boundary value problem from that in displacement boundary value problem. The conclusions obtained would obviously have rationality and utility for both fiber and particle reinforced composite materials.

    Based on 38 shear tests of Partially prestressed concrete beams, this paper discusses the main influence factors and advances a new calculated model of diagonal crack width. The model with simple form and wide applicability includes numerous influence factors. It may be valuable to continual study in this subject.

    This paper deals with the analysis and calculation of lock multiport filling and emptying system. As shown in the calculation, we can describe unstable flow motion in the chamber and culverts. By contrasting the calculation with experiments, it is clear that the method of analysis is reasonable and useful for hydraulic calculation of multiport filling and emptying system.

    Analysts of Coriolis Acceleration of Plane Structure by Using Complex Vector Method

    In this paper, by the analysis of Coriolis acceleration of plane structure by using complex vector method, all the acceleration components can be given automatically, including the magnitude arid direction of Coriolis acceleration component, thus avoiding the possible omittion of Coriolis acceleration component and the mistaking of its magnitude and direction,which may occur when the analysis of acceleration of plane structure is made by the traditional method. And it is also easy to give the motion characteristics of motion circulation of the structure in linear graphs with the help of computer.The ahthor first set up a closed vector equation and expressed it in complex index number, and then made velocity analysis and acceleration analysis, thus obtaining the displacement equation, velocity equation and acceleration equation of the structure respectively. Finally, the solution to the problem was obtained.

    This paper raises the problem existing in the selected value of unit weight during the current calculation of the allowable bearing capacity in the shallow foundation subgrade through theoretical analysis. It also raises the suggestion of correcting, which makes the calculation of allowable bearing in the shallow foundation subgrade safer, more reasonable and more economical.
