Dynamic Prediction Model of Bus Dwell Time under Different Station Conditions

不同站台环境下公交车停靠时间的动态预测模型

Abstract: The bus dwell time refers to the time spent waiting for the passengers to get on and off the bus at the platform, which is the main reference factor for the operation scheme of the bus system and the setting of bus stops. Bus dwell time presents different trends in different periods of time in densely populated areas such as central urban area and central business district. A generalized bus dwell-time model was established, based on the waiting time outside the bus stop, the time when the bus accelerates to enter the bus stop, the actual stop time of the bus at the bus stop, the total number of passengers getting on the bus, the total number of passengers getting off the bus and other factors. The change trend of the bus dwell time in different traffic hours in the downtown area was studied. Finally, the quantitative analysis of the bus dwell time distribution in different station environments of Nanning public transportation system was carried out. The research shows that the bus dwell time at morning peak is obviously larger than that at the noon peak and evening peak, which can help decision-makers of public transportation system to make reasonable development strategies and improve the overall service level of public transportation system.

摘要: 公交停靠时间指公交车在站台等待乘客上下车而耗费的时间,该指标是公交系统运营方案和公交站点设置的主要参考因素。公交停靠时间在中心城区和中央商务区等人流密集区域不同时段呈现出不同变化趋势。基于公交站点场外的等待时间、公交加速进入公交站点的时间、公交车在公交站台的实际停靠时间、乘客上车总人数、乘客下车总人数等因素构建了一种广义公交停靠时间模型,并研究公交停靠时间在中心城区不同交通时段的变化趋势。最后,以南宁市公交系统的不同站台环境下的公交停靠时间分布进行定量分析,发现如早高峰的公交停靠时间明显大于午高峰时段和晚高峰时段。本研究可帮助公交系统决策者制定合理的公交发展策略,提升公交系统的整体服务水平。
