By analyzing the causes of quality accidents of slope engineering, it is discovered some main problems in design, such as probleMabout selection scheme of retaining structure, probleMabout base of design, probleMabout destructive model of slope and calculation method, probleMabout the value of theoretical destructive angle of the rock slope, probleMabout calculation of internal force and combination, and probleMabout treatment of structure and construction. At the same time, these problems in design reveal that a thorough and meticulous analysis needs to be made in design in various aspects, which can avoid some quality accidents due to the improper design. Moreover, this is also very important to reduce the geotechnical engineering disaster.
