    In the construction of deep water platform of Beidou bridge's main pier, without adopfing underseal concrete base.we succeeded in directly using steel telescopic caisson's bottom slab as the encasing form and in only setting up the water seal lagging to seal up the water on the steel protecting lagging of the pile bottom.This paper illustrates the structure, the construction procedure and the key constnIction items of the steel telescopic caisson.

    In this pape ,the application of grouting technology in bridge abutment reinforcement is intruoduced, this bridge abutment is located in the Yangtze Biver Bank Road ,in Yu’zhong District of Chongqing City. The result of acoustic testing indicates that the bearing capacity and stability of bridge abutment foundation is highly improved by grouting reinforcement, the settlement and deformation of bridge abutment is prevented efectively.

Therefore, the similarity of model tests for ponding and vortex is very important.In this paper, the similarity of ponding and vortex has been investigated by model tests with different size in flumes.Test results show that the height,water depth, flow velocity and flow pattern of ponding and vortex flow alre similar in undistorted mode1.

    Dangerous rock is one of the typical geologic disasters in the Thme Gorges reservoir,and is result from multi—factors in.teraction in disorder such as geologic strata, geomorphologic characteristic, fissure water pressure and earthquake etc. On the basis of possible failure mode for dangerous rock to fracture, the authors divide dangerous rocks into five mod el, i.e.topple dangerous rock ,slide dangerous rock,stretch dangerous rock,blow_ up dangerous rock and fracture dan gerous rock in this paper.According to main load compose to cause da ngerous rock fracture in the region,the authors found stability analysis every model using limit equilibrium theory.The method have been gotten the extensive application in stability analysis and control in the region

    The corelations between forest and flood/soil erosion is investigated systematically. Forest is of the functions of increasing rainfall yield,delaying runoff,adjusting flood and reducing flod discharge. The main factors of influencing watershed sediment yield are analyzed. The efect of forest on avoiding the surface soil erosion is very obvious. The sediment yield and transport rate at the forestland area are smaller than ones at the areas of the uncovered land and collapsed land
