Fuzzy Comprehensive Synchronitic Evaluation of Bridge Design Parameters with Two Steps
Xiao Shengxie, Huang Shouzeng, Zhou Jianli
    1988, 7(1): 1-8.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (493KB) ( )
Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of engineesring design parameters with two steps is used ia this article to evaluate various indexes of the design parameters of bridges having been built. According to these indexes, the reasonableness and safety of values taken in design parameters of the original bridges can be identified. The method of evaluation is of practical significance to different bridges in testing and designing.

Gong Zhiyu, Feng Guangzhan, Wang Qingyuan
    1988, 7(1): 9-17.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (503KB) ( )
The main purpose of this paper is to present the work in analyzing free vibration and computing free vibration frequencies of the pedestrian GRP bridge with skew cable stays built in Chongqing Jiaotong Institute with analytical method and energy method. By both methods, the results were in a good approximation and had also been verified by field tests on the GRP bridge. The main frame of the bridge was a box structure made of GRP honeycomb sandwich plates. The local free vibration frequencies of top plates and loagitudenial webs of the box structure had also been calculated and the results were satisfactory.

    Yin Dingan
    1988, 7(1): 25-37.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (686KB) ( )
The Prestressed concrete bending member must be filfulled in both limit state and normal limit state requirements. This paper briefly describes the cable zone plot with its advantage as well as shortcoming using the usual ideal of working stress theory. The author proposes the improved and revised correction on Magnel's diagram in order to determine the rationable cable zone. Illustrative example is also added in the paper.

Five Stage Design of Prestressed Steel Structure
    Zhang Rucheng
    1988, 7(1): 38-47.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (700KB) ( )
The conveyer bridge of Dusi washery factory is a steel structure with double spans of 44.8m, wide of 4,74m. Compared with same type of structure it has many advatages eg. light weight, small deflection in vertical and horizontal diretion. The main points are:1. the light covering material is used. 2. five stage design of prestressed steel structure, in which high strenth strend is use to be prestressed tension bar. 3. cross section shape is well choosed. The designed structure using this method not only can save steel about 50%, although can span long distance. Thus this type of structure can wide be adopted in long span structure and can be showed economy. This paper basicaly introduce the five stage design of prestressed steel structure, the construction and the measure.

Experimental Study of Influence of Cover on the Cracking Resistance And Development in Reinforced Concrete Members
    Bai Jiping
    1988, 7(1): 48-60.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (829KB) ( )
According to the experimental investigation of reinforced concrete members of thicker cover, the model for calculating crack spacing is established. The formulas involving cover C for predicting cracking resistance, crack spacing and crack width are presented.Mechanism, especially caused by cover, are discussed. The Presented formulas can be applied to both thiner and thicker cover and are in good agreement with experimental data.

The In-service Behaviour of Soil-cement under Simulated Traffic Loads
    Ling Tianqing, Liao Zhenhuan
    1988, 7(1): 61-69.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (663KB) ( )
The paper reviews recent literature concerned with the strength and deformation of the soil-cement under the various simulated traffic loads. From the literature review and test results, the authors analyse the behaviour of the soil-cement for use in base course material, and present a fatigue design method deciding the soil-cement thickness. The method may be used in study or construction.

The Relationship Between Dynamic Equation Equivalence And Strict System Equivalence
    Xu Maozeng
    1988, 7(1): 70-76.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (367KB) ( )
In this paper a matrix theorm is proved and two corollaries of it was given. On the above basis,a simpler proof of a equivalence theorm concerning dynamic equation equivalence and strict system equivalence is given. What is improtant is not the proof itself but a corollary obtained from the proof, for the corollary uncovers the real connection between the two sorts of equivalence, that is, the two seem not to be entirely equivalent. This allows the equivalence theorm to be stated in an exact form.

Analysis of Amplifying Circuits with Negative Feedback Using Node Admittance Matrix Method
    Du Jiaxin
    1988, 7(1): 77-82.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (327KB) ( )
This paper gives the discussion on a kind of analysis method, Node Admittance Matrix Method, for negative feedback amplifying circuits. This analysis method has generalised other four methods used in analyzing feedback amplifiers. It is an active network method determined by behaviours of computers, and has advantages of simpler process, more exact result and being more easily adopted to computer-aided analysis (CAA).

Highway Bridge Structure Reliability Calculation Using Pocket Computer PC-1500
    Xiong Xingyu, Qian Shiming
    1988, 7(1): 87-93.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (453KB) ( )
In this paper, the principles of structural reliability calculations and calibration of the highway bridge structure desigh standards in force against the method of design checking calculation point are introduced. We can determine the reliability index β of the variant structural components by this method, which is one of the second moment probabilistic engineering design algorithms. This probabilistic design method is closely related to optimization in design. Some examples are given to illustrate the proposed method. A PC-1500 main program of computation of reliability β have been provided in the appendix of the paper.

Cheng Wenshan, Cheng Xiangyun, Yang Wangyun
    1988, 7(1): 94-101.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (539KB) ( )
In this paper, the additional deflections and ultimate carrying capacity in mid-sections of 16 reinforced concrete parabolic curved columns under load applied with equal eccentricity at each end are obtained from experimental result, and are analyzed according to the current Highway Bridge Code for Design in China, and those of USSR and FRG respectively. The calculations show that the results obtained by our current code closely coincide with those of testing.
