A Study for the Ultimatn Strength of Fixed Steel Beam-Columns
    Li Kaixi, Xu Wanming
    1990, 9(1): 1-9.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (582KB) ( )
A new method and a comoprehensive computer program are developed for calculating the ultimate strength of fixed steel beam-columns. The influence of all initial imperfections is taken into account. On the basis of extensive calculation, a simplified method for checking the stability of fixed beam-columns is presented, and the calculated results show a good agreement with the theoretical values.

    1990, 9(1): 10-15,9.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (357KB) ( )
By the comprehensive use of Laplace transform and Fourier transform, in this paper we make a theoretical analysis of stress (9, Continued on p.9) Ontinued from Page p. 15) intensity factors of crack-tip mode III dynamics of laminate composites with through cracks under dynamic load. Taking impact load as an example, we investigate the influence of changingthe outer thickness, tensile modulus and shear modulus on stress intensity factors of crack tip and provide reference for better fracture mechanics properties of composites.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (473KB) ( )
Based on the experiment, this paper investigated concrete strength under biaxial compressive stresses, and some existing failure criteria of concrete were reviewed and compared with each other by calculating. Comparison of the test results with those of other researchers was made. From the viewpoint of practical use in engineering, a proposed formula for predicting concrete strength under biaxial compressive stresses was presented.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (429KB) ( )
In this paper the method of calculating tensile forces of strips for reinforced earth retaining wall is analyzed. Therefore on the basis of the energy method an adjusting energy method of calculating tensile forces of strips for the reinforced earth retaining wall is given. Calculated results in this paper is more approximate to the measured value than the present methods.

The Analysis and Experiment of the Macro-Initial-Yielding of Hollow Microsphere Filled Composites
Tang Yu, Zhang Peiyuan, Yan Bo
    1990, 9(1): 40-44,23.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (403KB) ( )
Based on the equivalent homogeneous model, (, Contiaued on P.23) Continued Jrom p.44) the macro-initial-yielding of hollow microsphere filled composites is analyzed by the theoretlcal and FEM methods. The macro-initial-yielding function suggested includes the physical properties and geometric factors of the components and gives a theoretical explanation to the phenomenon that the plastic behavior of the composite is sensitive to its average stress. The comparison between the numerical calculation and experimental results shows that the theoretical analysis is reliable enough.

The Dual Heything Algebra and Dual IntuitionisticNegation
    Chen Guozhen
    1990, 9(1): 45-53.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (479KB) ( )
One of the purpose of this paper was to give another algebraic structure with fuzziness. It is the dual Heything algebra. We introduced some, concepts, like a dual intuitionistic negation, fuzziness, measure of fuzziness on it, and gave many of their properties. The extension of these concepts to the theory of fuzzy sets is natural. They turn out to be the dual intuitionistic fuzzy sets, fuzziness and measure of fuzziness for dual intuitionistic fuzzy sets.

Asymptotic Behaviours of Nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equation with Delay Integral Perturbation Term
    Xu Anshi
    1990, 9(1): 54-60,53.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (480KB) ( )
The asymptotic behaviours of the solutions to the nonlinear differential equation of the type with delays:y'(t)=f(t,y(t))+g(t,y(t)y(t-τ(t))∫t0th(t,s,y(s),y(s-τ(s)))as)t∈[t0,∞]yR are studied. The main tools used here are new integral inequalitieg. The sufficient conditions on boundedness, stability and exponential asymptotic stability of the solutions are established.

Structural Analysis of Thick Plate and Thick Plate with Circular Holes on Elastic Foundation
    Huang Wei, Deng Xuejun
    1990, 9(1): 61-69.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (553KB) ( )
This paper gives a finite prism superposition solution for a rectangular thick plate and thick plate with circular holes on elastic foundation. This method takes simply supported and sliding clamped structures as basic structures whose stiffness matrixes often have a very narrow bandwidth, thus significantly reducing the computational effort and storage requirements of three-dimensional analysis compared with three-dimensional finite element. In this method,a program has been developed. The prism element includes rectangular four-node-line prism and triangular three-node -line prism as well as eight-node-line isoparametric prism. The correctness of the method and program has been proved by many examples and tests.

Platoon Method of Analyzing Capacity and Delay of Non-Signalized Intersection
    Wang Wei
    1990, 9(1): 70-79.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (590KB) ( )
In this paper, the vehicular driving model at the non-signalized intersection is studied based on a large number of experiments and observations. It is considered that traffic stream possesses platoon character when it passes the non-signalized intersection under the situation of larger traffic volume. The capacity and delay of straight vehicles at six types of non-signalized intersections are analyzed by using identical model according to the platoon theory. Finally, the method to determine the actual capacity and limitation capacity of the non-signalized intersection is presented.

Random Simulation of Flood Hydrograph and Its Application in Ascertaining Flood Control Capacity
    Cui Zhencai, Zhai Guojing
    1990, 9(1): 103-114.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (711KB) ( )
The relevant flood control capacity of a reservoir was taditionally calculated by designing flood hydrograph and by regulating flood. Then what about the error of this simplified method? This is a problem which the hydrologists have paid more and moreattention to. The aim of this paper is to make an analysis and comparison of the above mentioned methods by way of statistics and experiments, or the Monte Carlo Method(M-C).The method recommended in this paper is like this:set up a flood hydrograph model on the basis of the flood feature of a certain river-basin:simulate enough flood hydrographs with the M-C Mehtod; regulate the floods one by one according to the reservoir flood-releasing rules and then a flood control result will be achieved that can meet the designed standard. This method is compared with the traditional one soas to provide some references for a more reasonable method in calculating the flood control capacity of a reservoir.
