Stress Analysis of Nonregular Thick Plates on Elastic Foundations
    Wu Bo
    1992, 11(4): 1-9.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (481KB) ( )
In this paper nonregular thick plates on Winkler elastic foundations are studied by the thick plate element analysis method, which is quite valid. The effect of shearing deformation is considered in the curved thick plate elements. Both thick plates and thin plates can be analysed by using the elements. The method in this paper can also be used for regular plates.

Application of Spline Weighted Residual Method to Analysis of Space Truss
    Zhao Lei
    1992, 11(4): 10-16.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (394KB) ( )
In this paper the shear deformation of space truss is not considered.According to weighted residual method,a deflection function of space truss is formed in the space of double fifth B-spline function, and is used to calculate deflection and internal force of this space truss by the least-square collocation method. The computed result is very good and the method is easy to use for engineering.

On the Method of Thickness Calculation for Overlay of Fiber Reinforced Concrete at the Existing CCP
    Ling Tianqing
    1992, 11(4): 31-38.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (541KB) ( )
Combined with the results of the laboratory test, the feasibility and predominance of using fiber reinforced concrete as overlay of the existing CCP are discussed. Furthermore, based on the theory of two-layer elastic plate at elastic halfspace foundation, the formula and method of thickness calculation for overlay of fiber reinforced concrete are derived.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (402KB) ( )
This paper presents the methods to evaluate calculating-resilient modulus of the bases for different types of concrete pavement overlays and the effect of crack of existing CCP on base capacity based on the testing-analysis results of in-service test section built in Jinhua, and then it shows how to determine base calculating-resitjent modulus.

Grey Classification Evaluation of Asphalt Pavement Performance
    Hu Changshun, Wang Binggang
    1992, 11(4): 45-49.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (319KB) ( )
The evaluation of asphalt pavement performance can be devided into two ways, the comprhensive evaluation and the individual index evaluation. This paper, organically combining the two methods with grey classification theory, evaluates the asphalt pavement performance and makes the evaluation methodology more scientific and practicable.

The Method of Backcalculating the Strains at the Bottom of Asphalt Layer Based on Deflection Basin
    Huang Xiaoming
    1992, 11(4): 50-56.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (463KB) ( )
The fundamental methods of nondestructive evaluations of pavement structure and its importance in pavement management system are discussed in this paper firstly. The applications of strains in pavement structure design and methods of using'strain standard to design pavement thickness in the world are also analyzed. Based on these analyses, the fundamental consideration to backcalculate the strains at the bottom of the asphalt layer is presented. By detailed deriving, the strain calculation equations are obtained. By comparison calculation of using Chevron program, a theoretical formula by erroneous modification is also obtained. The formulas presented in this paper are in good correspondence with theoretical formulas.

A Probe to Attain Better Effect of Smooth Wall Blasting by Adopting the Control Chart Method
    Yin Guoming
    1992, 11(4): 57-65.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (598KB) ( )
In consideration of the changeable geological condition and mechanical peoperty of adjoining rock, tunnelling progress is always out of complete, control and regarded as a dynamical performance, wkich can therefore only be dealt with by some dynamical control method. Taking ××× Tunnel on Chengdu-Chongqing Highway being constructed in Sichuan Province as an example, this paper presents the control chart method in tunnel excavation, a good method for reducing over-and-under excavation effectively and attain better effect of smooth wall blasting, by adopting the control chart method of Japanese Totle Quality Control Method to thoroughly control tunnel construction which is conducted by drilling-and-blasting method. This method is applicable to the construction of mountain tunnels and underground caves.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (566KB) ( )
In this paper an attempt is made to present a relationship of mechanical movement in fill construction system. This system is made up of four parts. an excavator, tippers, a bulldozer and a roller. The attempt is based on the knowledge of the probability and the mathematical statistics. The probability model is set up.

An Algorithm for an Optimal Assignment Problem of Trees with Only One Cross Point
    Liu Ying
    1992, 11(4): 107-114.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (445KB) ( )
In this paper the following problem is considered. There are n crewmates. They forma tree with only one cross point according to their experiences. Now we divide them into several groups with k+1 persons in each group in which only one is assigned to be captain and the others are members. The captain's experience should be superior to those of the others in the group. Every person p is assigned two numbers f(p), g(p), When p is the captain, his contribution is f(p). When p is a member, his contribution is g(p). Now we have an algorithm to solve the problem that the whole crew makes its greatest contribution.
