Investigation on the Stress State in Non-Presstressed Steel in Prestressed Concrete Beams
Zhong Mingquan, Che Huimin, Shao Xiaokang
    1993, 12(1): 1-6.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (442KB) ( )
The tests have shown that flexuval fatigue failure in partially prestressed concrete beams often results from the fracture of non-prestressed steel. A good knowledge of the stress state of non-prestressed steel in the beams is essential. based on the measured results of the load-induced strain and the residual strain in non-prestressed steel in seventeen beams, a high compression stress state due to shrinkage and creep prior to the test was verified, and the empirical formulae for predicting the residual strains in non-prestressed steel under static and repeated loadings were presented. Moreover, the effects of repeated loading on the stress state and fatigue strength of non-prestressed steel are also analyzed and discussed.

Wu Songren, Yang Chengyu, Yang Yingyun
    1993, 12(1): 7-18.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (741KB) ( )
Based on the serial site measured data of normal berthing velocities for different inland fleets, the statistical analysis has been made in this paper, which shows that the probability distribution at any time point for normal berthing velocity of inland fleet tends to have extremum I type distribution. Adoption the filtered poisson proccess as the probability model, the statistical characteristics of the berthing velocity of inland fleets in the design reference periods have been obtained and compared with the sugggestion value by the current Tentative Specification of Harbor Work(1987).

A Simple Estimatiion of the Hydrrodynamic Forces on large Vertical Cylinders During Earthquakes
    Miao Guoping, Ji Chunqun
    1993, 12(1): 19-31.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (699KB) ( )
Some offshore and hydraulic structures have configurations as unifform vertical cylinders of equal section. The hydrodynamic forces acting on them during earthquakes must be rationally estimated in the anti-seismic design. Based on the strict potential theory, a series of tables is given in the paper, which can be used to simply estimate the hydrodynamic forces on large vertical cylinders with several commonly used sections rigidly or elastically vibrating during earthquakes. The tables and estimation procedure are of practical signficance to the engineerng design and the formulating of the rrelated regulations.

Division Approach of Environment of Highway Waste by Water in Sichuan Province
Bai Zipei, Chen Hongkai, Zhang Zhihong
    1993, 12(1): 50-55.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (416KB) ( )
Highway waste by water is a strongly restricted factor for the regional economic devel opment, which is an incoordinate result of environmental factors of waste by water. On the basis of field investigations this paper divides the environment of waste by water into 6 big zones, including 3-4 small zones in any big zone in Dephel values of geology, landform and climate, etc. It is found that the division is reasonable after our examinations of the economic losses of highway waste by water between 1976~1990 and of the distribution of the waste.

The Effectiveness And Forecast of Vehicle Movement State
    Yang Lei
    1993, 12(1): 56-63.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (474KB) ( )
The artificial factor is important for effectiveness, reliability and mean life of the stable state of the transport system. The differemtial equation of the state transition has been created in this pqper based on the homogeneous Markov process. The system state probability and measure of reliability has been solved with Iaplace transform. At the end of the paper, we estimate the mean time to failure of the vehicle.

Introduction to the Design and Construction of Dabaoshan Tunnel
    Luo Min
    1993, 12(1): 64-70.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (380KB) ( )
Dabaoshan Tunnel is located within the boundary of Shaoguan City, Guanydong Province. It is 431 meters long and 9 meters in clear width. Three-centered-circle arched wall is adopted in lining, and I-steel welded with stceel centering is used in the most complicared geologival zones to reinforce the lin-ing of the tunnel. In construction, special methods are used to treat the bad geological areas, shch as concrete spraying to seal the cracks, pressure grouting to consolidate the fracture zones, concrete pumping to packfill the lava tunnel, and building-in steel vail cover plate to span the lava channels. Now the tunnelruns effectively as a whole.

On the Relation Between Alignment Velocity and Traffic Accidents
    Li Shuqing
    1993, 12(1): 71-79.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (601KB) ( )
According to the traffic safety conditions in main roads of Chingqing City, this qualitatively and quantitatively analyses the relation between alignment, velocity and traffic accidents. From the viewpoint of reactions on a travelling automobile, it derives the formula for several elements of the road with gradient and curve in an alignment vertically and horvizontally coordinated, and points out the defects of the existing highway deesign standard to the road. Finally, it discusses highway speed limit and proposes four basic principles to determine the value of speed limit.

This paper presents the influence on the heat loss to hot-wire supports from temperature and ptrssure of gas. Considering the heat loss to the hot-wire supports, A revised formula is estabilished. On the basis of experiments. A semi-experienced formula is presented to easily calculate the heat loss to the hot-wire supports. It has been proved that these formulae are correct and of important value in theory and practice.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (403KB) ( )
This paper introduces the mechanism of the compressive concrete filled tube, calculates and analyses the formula of the ultimate bearing capacity of concrete filled tube considering the effect of concrete which is bound on the outside. Finauy, it illustrates that concrete filled tube is effective for reducing the height of girder and shows that the excellent charateristic of concrete filled tube can be transplanted to shallow girder to develop the field of achieving the low-height girder extensively.

An Experimental Research on the Hydraulic Property of Navigation Lock Valve of Culvert Shape
Liu Pingchang, Liu Debang, Xiang Wenying
    1993, 12(1): 96-101.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (431KB) ( )
This paper introduces an experimental research and calculates the results of the analyses of two sorts of culvert shape behind the navigation lock valve (top expansion, sudden expansion). It compares two sorts of the flow state, the drag coefficient in valve, the lowest pressure and the decrease of pressure, the cavitation resistance characleristic at the bottom of the valve, etc. It also analyses the reasons why they are different. At the end of this paper, it recommends the instantly-expanded gallery which can keep valve cavitation off for the reference of the designers concerned.

This article deals with the calculation of flow coefficient which is in a water-transporting system of the short pressure pipeline of a chamberlock. On the basis of the linear assumption and the computation looking up tables, the assumption of secondary curve is used to make the theoretical value of flow coefficient near an actual condition all the more. And a series of calculative formulas of water force is induded, and the theoretical analysis is provided for the design of the water-transporting system in a chamberlock.
