    Seismic Response Analysis of Long-Span Continuous Rigid-Frame Bridge with High-Rise Piers in Deep Water under Non-uniform Seismic Excitation

    The non-uniform seismic response of long-span continuous rigid-frame bridge with high-rise pier in deep water is discussed.Based on the characteristics of high-rise pier in deep water,a formula applicable to calculating seismic hydrodynamic pressure of deep water pier is worked out.And the added mass method is adopted in the finite element model to evaluate the effect of hydrodynamic pressure during earthquakes.The non-uniform excitation and pile-soil interaction are also taken into account during the analysis.Aided by general finite element software ANSYS,a non-uniform excitation time-history response analysis on certain continuous rigid-frame bridge is taken as an example to verify the proposed method.The two analytical results are compared in the cases of hydrodynamic pressure and without hydrodynamic pressure.It shows that the internal force and displacement of seismic response are bigger when considering the hydrodynamic pressure than that in the case without considering the hydrodynamic pressure.This can provide reference to the seismic design of continuous rigidframe bridge.

    3D-beam's displacement's differential equation was used to deduce the element stiffness matrix with shear effect,and dynamical load's principle of virtual work was employed to illustrate the 3D-beam's element mass matrix.A valued example was represented to demonstrate the influence of natural frequency between shear effect and non-shear effect respectively.The results indicate that it's necessary to consider the shear effect when the structures' shear coefficients can't be ignored.

    Three basic structures and their stress characteristics of the streamlined flat box girder are introduced.Taking the north bridge of Huangpu Bridge of Pearl River in Guangzhou as an example,according to structure-stress character of the box girder's diaphragm,the space simulation model of beam section is set up to analyze the space action of the total diaphragm under the force caused by the crane on the deck in the stage of construction.By comparing local stress distributions and analyzing whether the vertical stiffeners are added,the reinforce method used on the local diaphragm in the field of strength is affirmed.

    The upper air hang transportation system is a kind of new overhead transportation system.A main factor to restrict the development of this system is the longitudinal jolt effect of the vehicle.The moment effect of driving generator against the vehicle,the related relationship between the wheel span,suspender span and node of vehicle and the transmitting coefficient are main factors to influence the jolt effect.Transmitting coefficient of vehicle vibration is analyzed theoretically and the formula of transmitting coefficient is obtained.

    Creep Analysis of Concrete Filled Steel Tubular Compressed Member

    Creep leads to the stress redistribution of Concrete Filled Steel Tubular (CFST) member.According to elastic creep theory and aging-adjustment effective module method,creep stress increment formulas of both steel tube and core concrete for CFST uniaxially and small eccentrically member under long-term action have been put forward.The result of computation is in accordance with that of experiment.The further numerical analysis shows that sectional steel ratio has obvious influence on stress increment of steel tube,but less effect on core concrete.Stress increments of both steel tube and core concrete are linearly changed at same sectional steel ratio while eccentric ratio is raised.Although larger sectional steel ratio could reduce additional internal force of steel tube,steel tube still afford more external force based on the principle of stiffness distributing internal force,which makes total internal force of steel tube still increase and the external force of core concrete obviously reduce.It isn't beneficial for CFST to take full advantage of its performance.

    "The method of external post-tensioning is widely used in strengthening the large span continuous rigid frame bridges.The strengthening efficiency is reduced for the restraint effects due to the piers and the supports.The beam-cable element is established to analyze the internal force distribution and the displacement of the structure according to the steps of construction.Then the strengthening efficiency is discussed,which is affected by the restraint effects due to the piers and the supports.And it will be the reference to the same kind of bridge in calculation and strengthening design.

    Research of Online Monitoring System of Box Girder Bridge Deflections

    To gain the online deflection data of box girder bridge,a novel Laser Video Deflection Displacement Measuring System (LVDMS) and a Non-contact Weighted-Stretched-Wire System (NWSWS) for measuring the deflection of a bridge are developed,according to the structural characteristics of box girder bridge.The constructions and principles of the two systems are explained,and performances,measurement precision and affecting factors are analyzed.The proposed systems can be used to monitor online data respectively to meet the different needs.Online deflection data of two box girder bridges of Yuqian Expressway are monitored.The deflection,in-box temperature and out-box temperature are measured online during the course of the experiment,and the plot of measured data is gained.The validity and coherence are analyzed from the trend line.Experimental results justify the utility of LVDMS and NWSWS.These two systems can be applied to the monitoring of real-world bridges.

    Chao Tianmen Yangtze River Bridge is 932 m in total length,of which the main bridge is designed as a 3 span continuous steel truss single arch and girder with a long span arrangement (190 m+552 m+190 m).Based on the characteristics of main span closure,the thought,calculation and key operation procedure of main span closure are introduced. With MIDAS,three-dimensioned finite element simplified calculation model of Chao Tianmen bridge is established,and the construction monitoring process is also analyzed.Heavy pressure program design in construction monitoring of a bridge can be a reference to that of the similar bridge.

    In the construction monitoring and control of the datum strand of Xi Houmen Suspension Bridge,the parameter formula method is adopted to express the relationship between datum strand configuration and related parameter in order to facilitate application in construction control.The monitoring method and application of each parameter in the formula is elaborated,the readjusting results and stable observations are analyzed as well.It proves the efficiency of construction monitoring,the correctness of the method,and the reasonableness of parameter adoption.The datum strand reaches the requirements of adjusting and stable observation.The method can be a reference to other suspension bridges.

    Quality control method of bored piles is analyzed in detail,through the observation and summery of real-time construction management.Moreover,aiming at the fact that bored piles may have collapse hole,the card,and other errors throughout the process of construction,the settlements such as fault swap of proposed backfilling heavy drilling,mud suction stubs,fork hook salvage,and other practical settlements are proposed.These methods for the safety and quality control of bored piles in the construction of highway bridge offer some guidance.

    Taking a shearing force wall structure of 12 floors RC frame as an example,this research was carried out by virtue of ANSYS-a software of the finite element,which was adopted to analyze the internal force and the distortion of the superstructure in the cases of "the pile-soil-superstructure common coupling reaction" and "the normal design conditions",and then the results ware compared with each other.The final result indicates that the influence of the substructure to the superstructure should be fully taken into consideration in designing a structure of the high-rise building,in order to make the design more reasonable.

    Current norms taking 15℃ as the test temperature of asphalt mixture fatigue properties is clearly improper,for it neglects the obvious temperature differences between various areas.By comparing two loading patterns of controlling the stress and strain,the loading pattern applied to the actual road fatigue conditions is discussed,in which the impact factors of fatigue life of asphalt pavement are analyzed.Adopting SHELL methods based on the Miner's rule,the fatigue equivalent was computed,with which the formula of Day Fatigue Equivalent Temperature was deduced,the Annual Fatigue Equivalent Temperature for eight regions was calculated and fatigue equivalent temperature ranges of the different areas were discussed. The results provide a reliable basis for the temperature parameters to improve the pavement structure analysis.

    Validity Study on Predicting the Performance of Asphalt Pavement Using NCHRP 1-37A Method

    TPavement performance prediction models are essential for pavement structure design and economic analysis,and the accuracy of the model directly influences the reliability of design and analysis results.The mechanistic-empirical pavement design method developed under NCHRP 1-37A project has gained great attention.Validity of the NCHRP 1-37A performance models was evaluated through an asphalt pavement test section with flexible base.Materials,traffic and environment parameters were found out,according to the requirements of NCHRP 1-37A models.Rutting,fatigue cracking and thermal cracking were predicted and the predicted distresses were compared with the measured distresses.The results show that short-term prediction results of NCHRP 1-37A models are reasonably accurate and that of long-term rutting prediction appears to be smaller,based on local experiences on asphalt pavements with semi-rigid bases,while the actual accuracy of long-term prediction results needs to be verified by continuous performance monitoring of the test section.

    Empirical approaches based on construction experience and drilling cores are always used to evaluate compaction techniques of superpave,which are not satisfactory because of their poor efficiency,few data or poor consistency.Pavement Quality Indicator (PQI) is introduced,a non-destructive monitor device,which can obtain a great deal of air void data of asphalt pavement fast.It is proven that PQI can evaluate compaction techniques soundly and roundly.

    Pavement performance evaluation is a key issue in the process of decision-making in rural highway maintenance. After a wide investigation,the performance of the sand-gravel pavement which is the main type of rural highways in mountainous area is analyzed,and the performance evaluation indicator system is proposed.A model of pavement performance evaluation for rural highway in mountainous area is established based on the attribute evaluation and synthetically weight calculation.The new method not only suits the reality of pavement type utilization of rural highways in mountainous area,but also makes a supplement for traditional pavement performance assessment.

    Research on Characteristics of Steel Slag Powder and Its Application in Asphalt Mixture

    The chemical components,phase components,and micro-structure properties of steel slag powder are analyzed. Then steel slag powder is added into the asphalt mixture,and the effect of partial or total replacement of mineral powder with steel slag powder on performance of asphalt mixture is studied.The test results indicate that water stability and high-temperature stability of asphalt mixture can be improved markedly when the steel slag powder is used instead of mineral powder. And the influence of the steel slag powder addition on the anti-clacking performance of asphalt mixture isn't remarkable. The optimum dosage of steel slag powder in asphalt mixture is 4.5% of the total quality.

    Based on the analysis and comparison of merits and demerits between immersion Marshall test and freez-tharw spilt test,immersion split test is designed aiming at the actual circumstance of hot and damp region.These three experiments are carried out with the same asphalt mixture and other materials.The study shows that immersion Marshall test is not appropriate to evaluate the water damage of asphalt mixture;freez-tharw spilt test is relevant to adhesion test,but it still has some disadvantages;immersion split test improves freez-tharw spilt test,and it is suitable as the evaluation method of water stability of asphalt mixture.

    Evaluation of the Test Methods for Anti-permanent Deformation Performance of Asphalt Mixture

    Rut has been a major distress of high-grade pavement in our country.The anti-permanent deformation performances of asphalt mixtures were tested with APA and Single Penetration Test respectively under different temperatures.The test results show that APA can differentiate the anti-permanent deformation performances of asphalt mixture under different temperatures,but it can't differentiate the anti-permanent deformation performances of SBS modified asphalt mixture under different temperatures.Compared with APA test,the Single Penetration Test can simulate the real asphalt pavement stress and strain condition,and its results have good pertinence to deformation of actual pavement rut.Moreover,Single Penetration Test can distinguish anti-permanent deformation performances of different asphalt mixtures well,including SBS modified asphalt mixture,under different temperatures.Therefore,it is suggested that adopting Single Penetration Test to evaluate the anti-permanent deformation performance of asphalt mixtures is better than APA test does.

    Study on Creep Strength Test of High-Strength Geogrids

    Two typical high-strength geogrids are selected to do the indoor creep test without any constraint condition.One of them is applied to practical roadbed engineering,where creep observation is kept for a continuous one year.The result of test shows that creep rate under unconfined conditions is almost 2 times of that under confined conditions,if the high-strength geogrids are approximately under load level.At last,some suggestions on the range of creep strength reduction coefficient adoption for high-strength geogrids are proposed.

    To control the degree of compaction and settlement after construction,it is important to predict accurately the developing trend of the settlement and density of the soft soil foundation during surcharge preloading.By triaxial compression creep experiments,the creep characteristic (settlement) of the soft soil under vertical loads (with constant confining stress) was obtained.And the function of the relationship between the settlement,density and the degree of the loads,the time under the loads was also got through the analysis of the regression.And then,with the function of the relationship,a deep discussion on the prediction of the last settlement and the degree of the compaction,the control of the time under surcharge preloading and the velocity of the settlement was made.And it could be used as a guidance and reference to the practical engineering.

    Based on the trial section of high embankment engineering of an airport in Southwest China,the impact compaction property of carbonaceous shale as a primary filling is studied.Aiming at different layer thickness,number of passes,dissimilarly impact energy and velocity,the degree of compaction,layer surface settlement and strength are used as quality control means.Parameters proposed according to the trial are proved to be satisfactory and is recommended to guide large scale construction of airport.

    With reference to the special nature of the high liquid limit soil cutting slope in Shizhong Expressway,FLAC is used to analyze the preliminary stability of the slope.In terms of a certain gradient slope,the formula of relationships between the slope height and the safety coefficient,and the critical height of the slope gradient are got,which offers a theoretical basis to the assessment of slope stability.Slowdown slope and retaining wall are simulated to deal with the slope.The evaluation on slope stability and the treatment efficiency are made,which offers a theoretical basis to the reasonable measures of treatment.

    Based on a large number of computer simulation experiments,physical model experiments and some theoretic analysis,the three-dimensional discrete element method is modified.Firstly,the stability of the computer simulation is analyzed by virtue of temporal curves of velocity.Secondly,the relationship between parameters and velocity distribution is discussed via the temporal curves of variances.Finally,the correctness of models and the rationality of parameter adoption are further validated by the contour of macadam.

    Statistical analysis shows that 70% of traffic accidents have the relationship with the people;people are the main causes of traffic accidents which have occurred.The elements of the traffic accidents from the driver's adaptability to ergonomics perspective,such as the psychological,physical factors of driver,driving environment,road conditions,vehicle design and driver management are expounded and furthermore,the countermeasures of traffic accidents have been discussed from the people and the airplane environment.The results show that the internal and external causes influencing safe driving are analyzed in terms of driver's adaptability and ergonomics,which is of great significance to reduce traffic accidents and to improve security.

    Research on Minor Approach Capacity Model at Unsignalized Intersection in Urban City

    The minor approach at unsignalized intersection usually has different lane use allocations,however,the maximum capacity of mixed traffic flow on which can't be effectively calculated out by any other current method.Based on gap acceptance theory and probability theory,the capacity of different lane uses such as through-left,through-right etc are discussed. After analyzing the probable queue type consisting of different turning movements and different vehicle types,the capacity model of different lane use group in minor approach is set up,and the main traffic headway must be in accordance with the negative exponent distribution.Therefore,the capacity theory of unsignalized intersection with mixed traffic stream is improved,and theoretical base of the traffic management in urban city is provided.

    Aiming at the deficiency of current forecasting of short-term traffic flow,the method of combining wavelet transformation and chaos theory is proposed to model and forecast short-term traffic flow.Firstly,using wavelet decomposition theory,traffic flow series are decomposed respectively into two parts:the low frequency part and the high frequency part.And the further analysis of decomposition indicates that a chaos feature exists in the traffic flow.Secondly,using chaos theory,the chaotic forecasting models are established to forecast the low frequency part and the high frequency part respectively.Finally,the forecasting result of chaotic model is reconstructed by wavelet theory.By doing so,the forecasting of the original traffic flow series can be made.The result demonstrates that this method is of high precision and has extensive potential applications.

    Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in China is still at its initial stage,though it has been introduced by some cities.In order to ensure the rapid transit of bus,research on the platform scale of BRT has become increasingly important.Based on the factors influencing the platform scale of BRT,combining with the relevant knowledge of queuing theory,the further research is carried out,which discusses the impact of platform scale from passengers transfer volume and vehicle lots.The calculating model of platform scale based on the passengers transfer volume and vehicle lots is proposed.The model can calculate the minimum size of the platform and the minimum length,adjust the conflicts when the indicators conflict,by using the minimum width as checking indicators and in accordance with adjusting principles.Finally,a reasonable platform scale is set up.

    Maritime Safety Information (MSI) plays a very important role in the navigation safety of a ship.Ships,navigating the sea area of Ningbo-Zhoushan,often face many difficulties when they receive the MSI by HF NBDP broadcasting from Shanghai coast station,especially at night.For example,the receiver can not gain any useful signal because of the poor performance of communication.An analysis on this phenomenon is given in detail by using the knowledge of radio wave communication theory.And on the basis of above analysis,some effective ways to improve the receiving quality are offered to help the ships get MSI when they navigate in the sea area of Ningbo-Zhoushan.

    A simple formula with three-point coordinate method to calculate the centre of circle is given,which is easy to program and calculate.To determine the third point position in the case of the certainty of two points,and three point optimal configuration is proven theoretically in detail,and accurate calculation as well as analysis are made from many aspects.The result indicates that three point configuration has larger influence on accuracy of the center of circle position;the measurement accuracy can be improved by selecting better configuration.It is operated quite well in the measurement of steel casing center position of Sutong Bridge.

    The optimization of distribution routes in the real life is analyzed through the dynamic programming algorithm of operational research.By virtue of practical research,the network graph of urban road is mapped,and the volume of traffic data is obtained through surveys under normal circumstances.And then the corresponding method is adopted to calculate time, and offer time and distance weights to the network graph through the survey.Optimal routes of delivery time and deliver paths are calculated respectively,and then have them compared to solve the corresponding problems.

    Transportation option is of great significance for manufacturing enterprises to realize the transportation rationalization.Aiming at the minimization of total cost,an option model of compounding transportation is based on the constraint capacity of transportation.Furthermore,two decision-making models in the cases of time effect and cargo urgency are established respectively.The optimal compounding transportation has been obtained by virtue of software LINGO 8.0.Then based on a practical example,a sensitivity analysis is made according to enterprise's different preference to time and cost.The result shows that,transportation option tends to choose the low-cost compounding transportation scheme as the weight of cost increases;the combination of transportation options has certain interval stability;in the same parameters range,the combination of transportation options for urgency cargo has more interval stability than that of ordinary cargo.

    To implement the mass customization (MC),not only the technology,management and marketing supporting are needed,but also the close cooperation between upper and lower members in supply chain is needed.Based on the manufacturer who has carried out MC,the supplier's supply planning driven by the output of CODP was studied,and two-period supplier production mode was proposed by the idea of production postponement.Optimal model of Main Production Planning (MPS) of the second period was established,and a numerical example was shown to prove its optimization.
