Fan Lichu, Du Guohua, Liu Baiqing
    1990, 9(4): 9-24.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (799KB) ( )
The fundamental principles for stress and internal force redistribution due to creep in composite structure with steel beam and concrete deck are described and discussed in this paper. Based on the initial strain method and the principle of energy, the element rigidity matrix and the force vector are developed in consideration of the creep behaviour of composite structure, and an example for application is introduced in detail as well.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (566KB) ( )
Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) is a kind of up-to-date reinforcing materials in the world. In Oct., 1989, the first SFRC box ribbed arch bridge was completed in Chongqing. This paper will try to carry on a preliminary study of the SFRC arch bridge in the design methods, computations and new calculated models of strength with the building of the test bridge.

Study of the Calculation Method for the Reflection and Deflection of Preflex Beam
    Zhou Xianyan, Zhou Yiwu
    1990, 9(4): 33-40.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (461KB) ( )
Preflex prestressed-concrete beam is a new type of prestressed concrete structure. But it is now still on the initial stage of theoretical research and practical use in our country. The reflection and deflection of the preflex beam are two important parameters for design and construction controlling. This paper has presented theoretical formulas to calculate these two parameters. By using the results calculated by the formulas to compare with the test results of two test beams and sixteen beams used in actual engineering, it has been proved that the formulas are acceptable and can be used for design.

A New Parallel Algorithm of Finite Element Substructure Method
    Hu Ning, Zhang Ruqing
    1990, 9(4): 73-78.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (403KB) ( )
A new parallel algorithm of finite element substrcture method has been presented in this paper.Using this effective method to analyze the long and narrow structures such as multi-storied buildings and towers, a new numbering method for points is used to overcome the difficulty of large memory space the original method needs. This means that many CPUs carry out a kind of new static condensations simultaneously, and the backward substitutions are concurrently made to get internal point displacements and stresses. The program of this method has been realized on ELXSI-6400 computer of Xi'an Jiaotong University. The computation results show that the computational time and memory space can be saved effectively. This method is an effective method for analyzing large-scale structures.

Analysis of the Bending of Skew Anisotropic Plate by Spline-Finite-Strip Method
    Hu Chunqing
    1990, 9(4): 85-94.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (533KB) ( )
In this paper, based on the bending theory of skew anisotropic plates and the displacement model which uses cubic polynomials in transcurrent direction and cubic B spline functions in longitudinal direction, the general total potential energy function for the bending of skew plates is[directly established in oblique coordinate system. Then, the stiffness equation of oblique plate strips is derived by using the variation principle. This method can be applied to calculate structurally orthotropic skew plate bridges and skew structurally anisotropic skew plate bridges.

Relationship between Concrete Grade of Strength and Concrete Mark of the Former Code
    Pan Lili
    1990, 9(4): 107-110.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (290KB) ( )
The concrete grade of strength in the present design code for concrete structures is a basic representative quantity for the various strengths of concrete used for design. It is also a criterion to evaluate the quality of concrete in the construction. Now the present code has got considerable changes in concrete grade of strength. In order to understand and put the present code into practice correctly, this paper has stated this variation by contracting the present with the former code and deduced the conversion relationship between the concrete grade of strength and the concrete mark of the former code, which is very useful for practical engineering.

Auto-Plotting Two-Dimensional Principal Stress Contour by Computer
    Chen Shaohua
    1990, 9(4): 111-116.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (319KB) ( )
This paper presents a practical and effective finite element post-processing method to plot the two-dimensional principal stress contour by computer. Usually, the result of finite element analysis provides element stresses. Based on these data, together with the input nodal coordinates and node-numbers of each element, the principal stress contour can be plotted automatically.
