    A new method, which is based on the force equilibrium condition and the geometrical compatibility condition of cable, according to the constant unstressed length of cable, is presented in this paper to determinate the geometric of suspension bridge free cable.Numerical examples with Humen suspension bridge are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and the validity of the proposed method.

    The interaction vibration between bridge and vehicle is an important problem in bridges of highway and railway.The numerical methods now usually used need much more time to complete the analysis.With the aim of increasing the computation efficiency, a numerical method which is based on the nonlinear vibration theory is proposed to study the dynamics between vehicle and curved bridge in high-speed railway.The program BSNDS is composed to evaluate the method.The simulation proves that the method can decrease the computation time greatly then other models without losing accuracy.

    To counter the geometrical complexity of highway's cross section, the concise, flexible, united and universal geometrical definition model for highway's cross section is researched, then the development methods for the CAD software used for cross section's geometrical design is also studied to deal with a lot of actural design circumstances.

    BP neural network based on highway cross section's fill and cut information obtaining method is researched.The approximate fill area Af and cut area Ac with different heights of fill or cut H at an arbitrary stake can be calculated quickly by the method, and the diagrams H~Af and H~Ac can be drawn on highway longitudinal profile drawing for better knowledge of the fill and cut distributions of the whole route or a section, which are very helpful to highway longitudinal profile design.The method is applied easily in highway CAD system to enhance the automation and intelligence of highway survey and design.

    The Wavelet-Fourier transformation is applied for to analyzing the time-frequency properties of blasting seismic signals in this paper.The blasting seismic signal was decomposed into muli-frequency channel signals, and the true frequency feature of the blasting seismic signal was gained after analyzing muli-frequency channel signals.The Wavelet-Fourier transformation method is an effective analyzing means for constituting velocity-frequency criteria.

    To facilitate the design, teaching and research of asphalt pavements, the article founded the models of displacement and tensile stress of three-layer system by using separation of variables, analysis and synthesizer.Based on the analysis of common pavement structures and their equivalent conversion, the regression formulas of displacement and tensile stress are obtained successfully, furthermore the formulas applied in multi-layer system are checked.A great number of results of regression formulas show good accuracy for engineering application and theory research.

    The approach for the design and the beharvioural mechanisms of reinforced soil structures are presented in this paper.The Limit State Approach and aspects of partial factors for the design of geosynthetic reinforced soil structures are described emphatically.Application of the method for the design of a certain wall of flyash reinforced by geosynthetics, and the characteristic values and partial factors are discussed.This documentation is directly towards researchers and practionaires, and gives guidance for future research and development of codes for reinforced soil wall.

    Drainae discharge of upward and plumb drainage hole at Permanent Shiplockes in the Three-Gorge Project was measured in situ.Result shows that drainage effectiveness of upward hole has an obvious advantage over that of plumb hole.We have analyzed discontinuities in drainage gallery and numbers that drainasge hole pass through discontinuities in terms of theory.Theroretical result is the same as the measured result in situ.

    The paper is based on detailed analysis of the cause for the cave of Gan Lanba river bank of Lanchang-Mekon River.It is suggested that the control of flow direction median during the low water level period plays a leading role in the river bank.Training considering navigation, flood proof and bank paving comprehensively, through Model-testing research various constructing methods adopted according to this regulation is proved to be practicable.

    In this paper, the authors study the initial value problems of a class of weakly nonlinear differential equation.The first and the second order approximate solutions are obtained.Their accuracies are high and the more the approximate order is high, the more the accuracy is high.If the regular perturbation method is used to solve the same problems, then, when the independent variable is big, so is the error of the solution.

    A condition monitoring, analysis and diagnosis system of oil pumping unit is introduced.The purpose of developing this system is to grasp the running condition of oil pumping unit in good time, and to provide suggestion for preventive maintenance.The paper introduces the composition of system and the principles of measurement.The design of software and its application are discussed.The software based on Windows-NT network platform has a friendly graphic user interface, in which many functions such as dynamic data display, automatic accidents alarm, timed report print, field special knowledge help and fault diagnosis are successfully implemented.

    In this paper, by the method of subsolutions and supersolutions, for smooth boundary domain Ω of Rn, the existence of positive solutions for singular nonlinear elliptic boundary value problem Δu+f(x, u, Du)=0, u|∂Ω=0, has been obtained.By the transformation u=v-p(p>2/(q-1)), the existence of positive solutions for Δv=Cvq(C>0, q>1), v|∂Ω=+∞, has also been obtained.
