    Comparison of algorithm for calculating non-stress length of cable in long-span cable-stayed bridges

    The formulas for calculating the non stress length of cable using catenary theory and parabola theory are derived. Taking Nancha cable stayed bridge of Nanjing Second Yangtz River Bridge as a numerical example,the difference of the non stress length of cable using the catenary and parabola theory is analyzed.It is concluded that using parabola theory to calculate the non stress length of cable can meet the requirement of precision.

    In this paper, ropeway technology has been studied, which is beam installation about suspension bridges. Two methods have been applied in analysis on the ropeway disposition and checking of suspension bridges. A fine arithmetic method is derived from theory. The example points out some significative conclusions, which is about Chongqing egongyan changjiang river bridge.

    Changshao and Bamuping Qianyou River bridge is a key bridge that controls line plan of Xikang Railway. It is also one of oblique crossed multi line bridge at home at present. In this article, special hydrology around the bridge sites, hydrotechnological model tests and the designing process are to be introduced. They are helpful to the design of multi line bridges in the future.

    The developing cracks lead to the stiffness change of Partially Prestressed Concrete(PPC)beams.The width of cracks are controlled by the method of layout suitable non pre bar so that the serviceability of structures are controlled.The mechanism of cracks occurring is discussed according to the deformation theory and the corresponding formulae are gained.The calculation results are compared with the testing results. The cracking load levels and the cracking spaces of the calculation is fit to that of testing.More testing research and theory work are needed to do at the aspects of calculating the crack width.

    By the means of experimental model,a failure test was carried out to the model. From the obtained first and second order nature frequencies of the model under each class of loading,tension(compression) resisting stiffness and anti flexure stiffness were induced adversely and can be used as computational stiffness to calibrate arch bridges internal forces and deformations, with which a comparison can be made to the results of theoretical design and static test.The comparison shows that the dynamic method has the advantages of timesaving and convenience

    Durafibre is a monosilk bundle polypropylene fibre with high strength and low modulus of elasticity.This paper studies the property of Durafibre concrete using the mechanism of fibre crack prevention and the principle of power consumption.It has been proved that Durafibre can prevent concrete from cracking very well and improve the property of leakage resistance and waterproofing effectively.Durafibre can apply to the self wateproofing structure of concrete.

    We designed the large scale test equipment and completed a large number of indoor paving experiments for Foller Compacted Concrete(RCC) pavements by means of orthogonal experiments.The regularity that the mechanical parameters of pavers working installations and RCC mix parameters influence the initial density and rollability of RCC pavements is studied.The mechanical parameters and RCC mix parameters are obtained when the results of the interaction between working installations of paver and RCC mixture are the best and the forming pavement qualities(including the initial density,pasted forming performance and rollability)are optimum.

    In the permafrost regions,the thawing settlement in the subgrade may produce an additional stress in the pavement structure.In this paper the finite element method and analytical method are adopted to analyse the additional stress,and two kinds of calculation results are compared.The formula is deduced out to calculate the additional stress and the influence of the pavements parameter are analyzed.The proposals are put forward for the design of subgrade and pavement in permafrost region.

    Laboratory study on stability of veneer cover soil on the slope of expansive soil subgrade

    Use of veneer cover soil on the side slope of expansive soil subgrade is a method to prevent early failure of expansive soil subgrade.But the interface between the veneer cover soil and the subgrade becomes a new weak point to the whole subgrade.That leads to another stability problem of veneer cover soil its own.To the problem of analyzing the stability of veneer cover soil of equal thickness,the most commonly used methods are based on the assumption that slopes were infinite in length. But the side slopes of subgrade are finite in length,so these methods may not be suitable to be used in that case.Through laboratory study,it is found that the actual sliding surface occurred in veneer cover soil on finite slope is different from that of commonly used methods mentioned above.According to the actual sliding surface from laboratory study,this paper develops a new formula for calculating the stability factor of veneer cover soil on the side slope of expansive soil suograde.In the end,some conclusions are also presented.

    On the basis of the different seismic effects,seismic slope instabilities may be grouped in to two categories:inertial instability and weakening instability.A number of techniques for the analysis of inertial instability have been proposed,such as pseudostatic analysis,Newmark sliding block analysis,stress deformation analysis and probabilistic analysis.Weakening instability can be divided into flow failures and deformation failures.The development,application and characteristic of those methods are summarized in this paper.And the main content,the existing problem and trend to the seismic slope analysis are proposed.

    On the basis of testing in Lab to loose earth in Chongqing reservoir,the authors present probability analysis of earth characteristics including physical and mechanic parameters,then propose and test the distributions of the characters.The results verify that interior friction angle φ obeys logarithm normal distribution while cohesion c,unit weight r and water ω obey normal distribution.Therefore,sensitive parameters testing in Lab are reliable.

    This paper inqures into the energy equation of debis flow in drainage canal, according to the law of coservation of energy.Mean current velocity of any transverse section of the debris flow of the aqueduct can be ascertained from this equation.and this paper also gives the course of inference of the equation,the formula of hydraulic raidius and energy loss of the debris flow in the process of flowing.Meanwhile this paper makes concrete analysis of all parameters? 玜\-1、a\-2、a\-3、ξ\-1、ξ\-2、n\-1、n\-2 ,especially first leades into a revised coefficient K contrast debris flow with water.Finally the theory is applied to the design of aqueduct of debris flow in pinchuan.K value( K =1 3) is obtained by a model experiment, and it is revised to 1 4 by inspection of the scene, then utilizing the equation,mean current velocity of the debis flow is reached in the exit transverse section of the equeduct.
