    Linearity and non-linearity stabilty analysis of the long-span Pre-stressed concrete cable-stayed bridges

    This paper draws a reasonable conclusion by calculation on the stability of the long span pre stressed concrete cable stayed bridges.All of the results are based on a finite element calculating model,in which the cables only tensioned property was simulated and the effects of the pre tension cables and pre stressed reinforcement are included.Furthermore,the effects of the geometric non linearity and material nonliearity are studied together.

    Based on the detailed analysis of the flexible ship bridge multi body system,a model of discrete concentrated masses linked with elastic elements is built up in this paper,and the Lagrange Equation for the model is given according to the coordinates in broad sense. In turn,the paper discusses the solutions for the equation and the expression of the colliding forces as well as the judgment of the ending time of the colliding process.

    A general static model of the bridges compression members under concentrated transverse loads is set up in simulation of the simple model supporting the Shanley Theory which can satisfactorily explain the behavior of the axially loaded compression member in elasto plastic instability.The analysis based on the model gives the new concept of critical transverse loads as well as the worst acting location of the transverse loads.

    Based on the comprehensive analysis of the strong and weak points of the present major prestressed concrete technology,the first author puts forward a completely new prestressed concrete technology the vertically tensioned prestressed concrete(VTPC).The theory of the technology,the method of the construction and the existing research work have been introduced briefly in this paper.It has been made known by research and practice that the Vertically Tensioned Prestressed Concrete can economize steel products,simplify technology,improve work efficiency besides maintaining the good mechanical properties of the normal Post tensioned Prestressed Concrete.So the Vertically Tensioned Prestressed Concrete is provided with distinct technical and economic benefit.

    The bad effect to cement concrete pavement influenced by joint sawing and temperature has been analyzed from a new perspective.The interaction between the surface course and the base course causes three basic failure types,which lead to further failure of pavement.Such basic failures can be avoided when setting a kind of intermediate layer between the surface course and the base course,and as a result the failure of pavement can be reduced to the utmost.

    There are many factors which influence cracks of cement concrete pavement.First,this paper analyzes the dynamic response by moving vehicle,and constructs a dynamic model of a slab(beam) rested on a viscoelastic foundation.Then the effects of displacement and strain and fatigue cracks in pavement slab by vehicle road interaction are discussed.The aim of the paper is to provide methods to prevent cement concrete pavement from cracking.

    Combined with the main roads which were built by our country or Sichuan province and which pass through Chongqing,this paper proposed the regulation of the axel load distribution after the survey of axel load table on some main roads mentioned previously on the spot.Based on results of the survey,the influence of the pavement fatigue life caused by the overload vehicles was primarily analyzed.The results of the survey will play an important role in the following research that will focus on the destroy of the overweight vehicles as well as the countermeasures.
